As Pakistani soils are alkaline with high pH greater than 8. so most of the elements are unable to be uptaken by plants. When Sulphur is applied in cotton crop, it reacts with water and form Sulphuric acid, decrease the soil pH and make available nutritional elements such as Phusphorus, Zinc, Boron, Manganese, Copper, Ferrous etc. It also act as fungicide and protect plants from fungal diseases such as root rot, stem rot, fusarium wilt etc.
