Virginity is important especially in a sexually perversed culture like this!!! Please abstinence directly impacts your lives hence the cases of teenage pregnancy Don’t buy into the lie that sex determines you being an adult! It does not! What makes you as adult is your ability to be accountable and self control And in all honesty, it’s a flex to you as a person cause you are defining what you want, and what you don’t want! You are standing on your ground to say No! And that is some rare power shit ..! It’s not in any way embarrassing please! And before you think no one is genuinely abstaining, we are quite many that still exist. Look around you and find your tribe! Protect yourself and define what you want! Love from a 25 year old Virgin who is waiting till marriage❤️❤️

Virginity is so underrated.. Respectfully Speaking I think that Maliya is talking about her close circle and the people she's surrounded by. It's not just about education, family, career e.t.c I am a graduate top of my course. I have a great job, things are in order for me and YES I am a virgin. It isn't just about my Religion. It's my choice because Purity is something that I've cherished... I could have messed up myself always had the avenue but it is a decision I made for me, on behalf of my children to come!!! I want them to know by my example that Purity and being a woman of Virtue is the greatest gift you can give to your home.

Your virginity is something you should be proud of and it’s a flex for you to have it you want it , don’t let anybody bring you down for wanting to be proud of being a virgin, it’s your life not theirs. If you want to have sex to before marriage it’s your life not others, carry your flex with your chest without hurting anybody. Omo be proud that you could abstain from something that’s normalized for today society, and nobody should berate any one from deciding to follow the normalization in this world too. It’s everybody’s choice. Of course you’re virginity doesn’t define your character but it’s a part of you and every little part should be celebrated no matter how unnecessary it is. Omoooo live your life with your choices but with the right guidance.

Well everyone has a point but i was agreeing with maliya until she said focusing on virginity will make you broke with no job or career is crap, are you saying sleeping with men brings the money and dream job and career?. And eronini saying the pressure is actually the flex is spot on but I will just give a straight forward explanation: now imagine all the pressure that comes with school and fees and exams and so on, and I still struggled while 20% of my school mate probably dropped out or degraded in class, and I still struggled to pass with a first class, are you now telling me my certificate will not be a flex? People, I will flaunt it like no tomorrow even if I don't get a job( # the point of probably when you get married ,the partner might still end up cheating with an experienced concubine) the fact still stands that I have a first class degree which is a big flex considering the struggles and frustration in school. So I hope Maliya sees this from a good point of eroninis view ,he should learn to express his explanations too . Secondly, the people saying she didn't mean it's not a flex should rewatch cus it's literally obvious she said it a multiple time that its not a flex. So you defending is just like justifying a racist ( I mean no harm oooo) Insecurities makes people assume virgins admitting they are virgins is to shame non virgins. Like this people are just trying to be them and normal,it's not like they carried a bill board to announce they are virgins , they are even taking a risk to open up to you. So stop intimidating them to lie or keep mute all because you care about your feelings and assumptions more . It's none of anybodys business yes , but if they open up ,don't look at them like they are mocking you, as far as anyone is concerned, you made the right decision and they made theirs too. I as an example has lost lots of friends cus I don't drink alcohol. Whenever I go to parties , I have to start lieing that I am not in the mood to get drunk that day and they will start begging me to just take a sip ,out of frustration I will end up telling them what I don't want to be let out which is "I don't drink" and that is the last day I will ever be invited to their party.but it just gives me the insight that they are not the right people to keep around me. We should all respect people's choices and not scare them to speak of who they truly are. I do hope I said the right thing. I love you all and this show. If you want a better explanation, just invite me for a part 2🤣🤣🤣🤣

I think what Maliya is trying to say is you NEED to educate yourself as a girl. It doesn’t matter if you’re fresh out of high school. You have to learn how to identify red flags and honestly speaking there is so much information out there. I literally learnt everything about men early enough through KZfaq videos and speaking to older male friends. Nobody will protect you so you have to unfortunately learn to protect yourself.

All the people supporting Maliya and calling her points deep really haven't lived life yet. Like I'm not saying that to insult her but I can tell she hasn't yet had the "Welcome to life" moment yet. I live stateside (US) but my family is originally from Africa and I feel like a bunch of y'all are trying to copy people who live here. Listen, what you don't hear about from those influencers etc is that the whole "life is a vibe" thing doesn't work in the real world. My father always quotes that famous saying about Life is a teacher, but when it teaches its lessons you don't always feel the effects until later on. Sounds great telling people you're experienced sexually etc etc but when you look back at those experiences you really where intimate with people who some of you ain't even talking with no more. Deep that. You gave the most intimate part of yourself to a person you don't care about anymore.

The same way you say being a virgin isn’t a flex, is the same way fucking around isn’t a flex. There have been situations where people have had sex with the wrong people and it fucked with their lives. You kids need to understand that it’s not just about the sex, sometimes the kind of person you’re having it with l also matters. This is why parents from our part of the world try to protect us from fornicating not because we’re not responsible, but they don’t want us to end up with the wrong people. For example, how will you feel if your daughter is having sex with a drug addict? Will you call that a “flex”

Maliya is making so much sense but she's taking this virginity thing too personal. For crying out loud, it's my body and i can choose to carry for my virginity with so much pride. It feels like there is a stigmatization towards girls who are virgins and that's totally unfair. If other girls are allowed to embrace you hyper-sexual selves then we should be allowed to embrace our virginity. Point of correction there are a lot of successful virgins; virginity doesn't equal being broke, laziness does.

You people don’t get it and that’s the problem. She didn’t stigmatize virgins nor did she at any point make being a virgin not important, she’s simply just trying to say that there are people that just teach or preach that if you’re not a virgin you can’t succeed or you aren’t going to be important just cause you lose your virginity, it’s actually a personal thing I mean cause honestly speaking you can never know a “virgin” by just looking at you. Nobody is going to be checking to see if you’re a virgin or not out there, meaning it’s not a guarantee whatsoever that you must get everything good in life, yes it shows you’re disciplined but there are people that have lost their virginities and are also disciplined cause they probably just cohabited with one guy and ended up marrying the guy at the end of the day , so like it’s just a construct tbh and it’s really not a “flex”. You can lie about it and no fucking person will know except you.

Honestly, it's sad that people my age do not see how abominable it is to date someone in a relationship, talk more of marriage. How in the world should that be complicated?? Mehnn, we are in for a loooonnggg ride if these mindsets don't change.

People have said they have had sex because of the pressure and then what??? They never understood the rush. This is a message for someone contemplating to make decisions in your own time. Not because someone said it was lame and wasn't a flex.

Everything that was said in this podcast was subjective. Maliya, eronini and Susan really made a lot of sense. You have to choose the way you interpret what they said. Susan thank you for bringing such an educative topic I learnt a lot

Wow 🤩 I finished watching this… I find this so informative, educative on its own and highly recommended…. Love everything part, Susan being able to carry the topics along side by side n making it interesting sweet, Eronini’s honest views, Maliya wow 🤩 very practical views n highly intellectual perspective…. I really understand her point, and she was able to convince Eronini at the end abt virginity view being discussed here… love y’all ❤

Like this episode. I feel achievements are relative. Infact many adult (male b female) virgins are self aware, thriving in their careers and are very proud of it. It's a choice and shouldnt bring out this much emotion for people who don't believe in it now. Lol.

As a child being molested or at the verge, it is important to talk to your parent and i wish most parents will create an atmosphere that encourages trust from their children enabling them to communicate without holding back. It is always not wise for a victim to have these discussions with their mates who are within the same radar of innocence and ignorance, it is better to talk to a knowledgeable and trusted adult. Hopefully you have one around.
