پاکستان کی بقا کے لیے ناگزیر سمجھا جانے والا دریائے سندھ ڈیموں اور آلودگی کی وجہ سے معذور ہو چکا ہے۔ لیکن ایک خطرہ سب سے بڑا ہے، دریائے سندھ کے پانی کا اسّی فیصد گلیشیئرز سے آتا ہے۔ جب گلیشیرز سکڑتے ہیں تو مرطوب زمینیں خشک ہو جاتی ہیں۔ یوں انسانوں اور جنگلی حیات، دونوں کی بقا خطرے میں پڑ جاتی ہے۔
مرطوب زمینیں قدرتی گہوارہ ہیں، مگر پانی کے بغیر ان کی بقا ممکن نہیں۔ ماحولیاتی تبدیلیوں کے ساتھ برسات غیر یقینی ہوتی جا رہی ہے۔ خشک سالی شدید اور درجہ حرارت بڑھتا جا رہا ہے۔

Beautiful documentary indeed. We really need to preserve this area. WWF is doing an excellent job for wildlife all around the world and in Pakistan and also government needs to support this cause on urgent basis. If we can't do much then at least we can stop polluting rivers by severage water.

It is one the best, challenging, uplifting and encouraging documentary I have ever seen on Indus delta . In the end the remarks of Mr Jasheed Iqbal on contamination of Mancher lake are not clear cut why this beautiful lake becomes poisonous and by whome.Just wanted to say AGAIN that is a MUST-MUST -MUST see!

@i chew mews Dear sluhtering is happening all over the world, in Nepal Hindu festival is the largest sacrifice festival (with respect to all religions) in India people eat goats and chicken, in Europe Pig is favourite, Bangladeshi eat Cows. Don't relate to Eid with environment, it's insane. In India they burn fire works which is the biggest cause of SMOG. Allah give animals to humans for food. Think deeply

بدقسمتی سےاس خطہ ارض کو جو انسان ملے ہیں وہ کچھ اچھے کیریکٹر کے نہیں ہیں،اپنے عارضی فائدہ کی خاطرخطے کی آب و ہوا کو بہت بری طرح سے برباد کررہے ہیں اگراندیسٹری ہے تو وہ کسی ضابطہ کی پابند نہیں ہےکیمیکل بغیرپراسس کے پانی کے ذخیروں اور دریاوں میں چھوڑے ہوئے ہیں،ہرطرف لوٹ ماراورنفسا نفسی کا عالم ہے اس طرف کسی کی کوئی توجہ نہیں بالآخر ہم یہ سب کھو دیں گے ایک دن

Congrats on making such a beautiful documentary. DW has not only highlighted the pinching issues of Mohanas but has also brilliantly showcased wildlife of Pakistan. Very informative video. Salute to the production team. May this be seen by any of our political figures and they can do something for endangered tribes and wildlife.

Wonderful documentary, every second worth it. Watched entire episode without blinking, gained a lot of knowledge today. Its alarming that we are going to loose such a unique piece of land in the coming years unless environment friendly steps are taken in time.

Very beautiful yet thought provoking documentary I’d say because it made me think doing something to save precious wildlife in Indus delta and the importance of fresh water which we get effortlessly therefore unaware of the value.

1. Yes silt is a problem. I was against the dams. But climate change mean unpredictable weather patterns. So at least dams will ensure the that we will be able to collect excess water n supply when needed. After mangla and terbela, Pakistan never constructed any dam with significant storage. Majority were run of river projects. Power can be generated through other sources particularly nuclear. 2. Pollution is a serious problem. All cities need a waste treatment plants before dumping water in rivers. This is also cause of serious health issue. 3. More water should be released for delta. But it is not possible with water intense crops like sugar. Need to change our crops. Free water availability for farmers mean there's no incentive for farmers to save water when available. They don't employ water saving techniques like drip irrigation.
