P'tula is finally giving us what we want in this collection! Hidden scrunch FLARE leggings, 6" shorts, minimal logos, and bright, fun colors! This collection brings back the Sierra leggings, some of my all-time favorites, and featured in my Best Activewear of 2023 video as the best-hidden scrunch legging. There are some weird sizing changes with this launch, but hopefully, this video will help with that.

I don’t buy things from like 95% of launches cuz I find things that I like and then try to get maximum usage out of them. So I mostly just watch hauls because they are fun, it’s a fun way to see new things that are coming out without like buying too much. Also nice activewear is expensive and I’m trying to put $ into a savings fund.

yes!! buy the pieces that really will serve you long term. I love sharing these because i love watching hauls and theyre fun but by no means encourage shopping every single launch!!

It probably is a sweat drop, but I prefer to think of it as a leaf. It's such a cute logo. I'm glad it's back.

Tbh I’m just so sick of drops. I’m sure it’s good for business but as a consumer I find them completely annoying. I’m in the gym 4-5 days a week so I need good active wear but I’m I’m also an ER nurse and a mom of two littles so I can’t exactly just drop what I’m doing to shop a launch. I wish more companies would just offer consistent high quality pieces that they bring back time and time again

Luckily my wallet is safe from most launches bc I am still waiting for cute longer length tops. I just don’t feel comfortable working out in cropped tops or sports bras 😢 I would love their brami as a longer top though. Thanks for the great review, Kathryn ❤

I completely agree on the sizing. Sami said it was to make it true size but I felt like they already were. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

@@KathrynMuellerright. Sizing is hard enough. Let alone online. Don’t get me wrong. I love Ptula fully but sizing has always been hard. I have things from the ranging from xs to large. And I’m a solidly standard size 8. I get I’m petit and so that makes sizing tricky but I legit never know what size to get. Medium is standard for me in leggings and I know a lot of ppl said sierras tan small but honestly I thought they fit perfect. TTS before. I have black ones. So that puts me a small now which is just confusing. Alas. At least they’re telling us so we know. And seems like you were able to get them. You can send me you’re too big smalls 😂😂. I’d gladly have them 😝.

I think with p'tula is that they are soooo extra stretchy and have really made a name in the light compression world that the fit of the og sierra felt like a relatively high compression for the brand hence the sizing changes

Hey Kathryn, Congrats again on your BB collab :) Do you have a list of activewear brands that offer a Canadian store? I love your reviews but I can't stomach the duties that we get hit with on clothing purchased from the US. I would love to know more shops that offer in Canada shopping (shipped from within Canada).

Fellow Canadian here 🙋‍♀my go-to for activewear that offers a Canadian store is Alphalete and Buffbunny. Alphalete especially, always seem so well stocked whereas Buffbunny seems to have very limited stock (or maybe it is just for their popular launches, which I have been following recently...) That being said, I really REALLY hope someday Ptula offers a Canadian store. Despite the duties I tried them because they were getting so big and I was curious; by far my most worn pieces and favourite activewear is from them. I think, if you are a soft fabric girl and like comfort, Ptula is worth a try (buy during their sales!) Or else Alphalete and Buffbunny have great performance wear, with Buffbunny nubre being similar to Ptula Sierra. I will say Buffbunny did it first but I do like my Sierras more lol. Gymshark is also a great option for affordable activewear for Canadians, though I haven't bought from them for a long time :')

@@umamah5296 Thanks! I will check them out! I prefer a little more compression and performance fabric over the soft and stretchy... I didn't even consider gym shark. Im an XL and did get some pieces from Kathryn's BB launch thankfully but defs need some more performance type bottoms.

I personally did size up in old sierras, I don't know if I'm the only one by my size is normally a medium across most ptula but sized up in sierra because i could not breathe in them lol. It may also be based on body type & how people carry their weight. I lost some weight & the larges felt a little big at that point, but not big enough to size down a whole size. I'm personally glad they changed the sizing and they brought the leaf back! If it is a sweat drop, i dont eant to think of it as that 😅😅 it would be nice though if all the companies could get their sizing together! Because some we wear smalls, then mediums, then larges lol.

I have been looking for the perfect activewear for YEARS. I cannot afford to shop every few months so I have to be so particular about what I purchase. Watching your videos has saved me from purchasing so many things I would have been disappointed in. Because of your videos I decided to try ptula for the first time and fell in LOVE. I bought two of their sierra leggings in my regular size small and they are a DREAM! So this makes me super sad to think the sizes are changing as I was ready to only ever buy from them because they were literally perfect.

I love the pink flares! But $76 is a bit high. I’d rather purchase from Buffbunny at that price.

I'm so glad for pink, and for new, non-Cassey flares, AND the old logo! But I do agree that P'tula's sizing has been all over the map lately. I'm an XS in most brands, and I always felt P'tula felt consistently small, so I ordered a S and was happy. Then they started slowly increasing the sizes...and now, I'm weirdly between an XS (too tight) and a S (too large/long). I guess maybe this takes me all the way back to a true XS?

I think , many people who reviewed the Sierras, outside of the spokesmodel and insta activewear communities, etc. found them small. On the website many reviews commented on it I was thrown off myself if I wanted to buy them. When I finally did, I did find them smaller/more compressive on me compared to other leggings I own. HOWEVER, I actually like their fit and it definitely grew on me. I've heard others say the pink leggings are definitely the stretchiest, so I think if we want the og Sierra feel, some have even commented they can size down two sizes.

A pair of Sierra shorts snagged OB my fingernail so I avoid the fabric for that reason. Not to mention the hidden scrunch hurt while I was climbing the stair master. Amplifies don’t even hurt when I do that. And I haven’t snagged them yet.

I’ve been wanting to try Ptula for the longest time. I’m a true XS so no sizing down for me in the pink leggings. I did just order the sky blue sierras though I wanted a cute summer color I’m excited to try them

@@KathrynMueller I definitely appreciate Ptula making things true to size, cuz im a small in multi other activewear brands but in Ptula id have to sized up to mediums and larges! which was so frustrating so im happy to see the change! I hold more weight in my belly and back though & I have a thick waist so this could be the perfect amount of snugness! I appreciate your review!

I don’t really understand the sizing changes because they seem to be across the board. I’m a size small. I’m always a size small. Usually a small regular length. And lately I’ve needed extra smalls and mediums… and I just don’t get it. I haven’t changed sizes in… years. And I certainly haven’t gotten both bigger and smaller at the same time. 😅

I am hoping a more affordable brand will release scrunch flares in an inseam i can wear (like ideally 33in for flares). I might consider these flares in a 34 since the flare is a tighter one but the price is telling me to wait a bit. Still havent made a ptula purchase but ive been thinking about it on and off

I still will never get behind the "flare leggings" that I will still forever call yoga pants. When I see people wearing them out in the real world, I have such ptsd from when I was younger, i feel second-hand embarrassment. 😬
