I had that same problem I wrapped it with electrical tape, I'm still getting codes of small evap leak and that's the only thing that could be the culprit so I'm probably going to do the same thing you did

It was an easy fix. I simply looked it up on KZfaq and found this video where they checked the gas cap, followed the lines, and looked around the canister. I was relieved when I found the problem and grateful I was able to fix it for a few dollars.

@@rxvanz i didnt havs the crack at that same spot but i did have a crack on one of the 2 hoses going to the charcoal canister.I took a razor blade ,cut ths bad area off,slid it back on and the check engine went out on its own in 2 minutes

Or you could have turned the key five times and it reads the codes on the dash

My truck has been in shop going 2 weeks for a P0455 error. Hope they've checked my hoses!

I saw a video where this kid was helping fix his dad's truck and it was very similar so I checked it out step by step and found the leak. I don't think I spent over $10 bucks for some hose and adapters.

I have the same problem. What parts did you use and where can I also find them?
@rxvanz6 жыл бұрын
I went to an automotive parts place and bought some tubing and a valve.

Every time if fix this system, it comes back. Biggest mistake Dodge made was mixing nipple sizes all over the system. Of course hoses are going to split (after 1-2 years).
@garychandler4296 Жыл бұрын
Use fuel hose only. It lasts.
@angelahighwolf4 жыл бұрын
Why not just turn the key three times? That gives you the code on the dash.
