You can become a Muslim you can leave Islam any time, your punishment would be with Allah not any Tom Dick And Harry, any one who punishes for this is going against Allah's decree and therefore can be considered as a Kafir. Many have apostatised in Muhammad's time for x or y reason, some were never true Muslims to start with, they were on a mission to spy on Muslims, Muhammad (saws) NEVER killed any apostate, so who are we to impose our religion on anyone? tdsdave Hi, I haven't seen their views on stoning for adultery but if they are in favour than they are literally going against the teachings of Islam, the Quran never once mentioned any stoning, this practice somehow found its way through the OLD testament, so yes if these guys do as you support any kind of punishments it means they are going against the Quran the book they believe in. For instance, yes there is a punishment of adultery if caught in action by four different witnesses with no conflict of interest and if the punishment is acceptable in that society, in fact Allah does every to avoid punishing anyone. What are the chances of 4 different unrelated witnesses to see them in action? Yes I am the first to admit that many Muslims don't know their religion very well, yes It will not be surprising that some might think that these punishments are part of Islamic rulings which is false.
