2001 Ford F150 4.6 L, high idle issue
Verbal mistake: The tube wasn't the brake booster.

I had a similar issue but in my case I was getting a P0171 and P0174 codes. It was the PCV line where it pushes onto the back of the manifold. The rubber boot had turned into goo (23 years old) and had a hole in it letting unmetered air in. Replaced the line and PCV valve with a Dorman aftermarket line and problem solved.

dont have a scanner but thankful for these videos😂 mine has 330,000 on the engine and im guessing original pcv

Did it make a switch or click sound around that side of the motor before you made that switch, i had a little trouble with a high idle a little bit ago but seems to be ok the day after. Also it makes the idle jump around a little when the heat is turned on, im in the middle of checking if there is a cracked tube or if i should just change that and see

Bad Maf sensor will also cause high idle

If tps and iac was replaced and pcv then truck sat not drove for 7 months it suddenly has high idle..never had that before fixed vacum and i did have trouble with new tps i didnt do re learn or know how it fine before just have transmission isdue so was not drive ing it until get to shop wich i have appointment 20th to ger rebuild transmission any advice
