Chess Evolved Online, also known as Old Old Chess Battle Advanced, is a game created by a crypto-addicted Spaghetti Monster. In this episode, I actually play the game. I mean okay, technically I don't get to GM but I beat 2 GM's and I never lost a single match during the climb.
Yes I'm still working on the greed/p2w overpowered updates video.

You should totally annoy the spuggy-mon for free stuff. Wouldn’t be truly random without having all the units.

note that random army isnt truly random either, it favors minions with threat squares so stuff like hostage, nexus, apprentice shows less regularly (it probably does this with champions as well but there's like 2 total champions without threat squares making it less noticable than the minions) however; forcing spaghetti monster to do thing is important because it bothers the spaghetti monster give icely all the things

Can the toad only keep leap-capturing in the direction it started the leap? That's such hot garbage lmao. Though I guess if leap-capture just translated to omni directional free moves it would be a little bit too good. At 34:48 it would've won you the game on the spot

It wouldn't be to good, but it would be a bit to complicated and annoying for the UI, since sometimes would need to perform more than one action, just to decide the chain direction.

How does no one play paladin? Paladin+ is pretty good at cost 12 just due to the excellent horizontal positioning stuff. Plus 1 paladin of either level shuts down hoplite rush, no? Rooks are much more expensive...
