Hello Matt. I was approach controller that day and trust me I tried to do my best. Most the time I was alone without tower or ground controller for more than 5 hrs and it was a lot of traffic that day. A lot of pilots couldn't proceed via transitions, many used only text and some were not following my instructions like the pilot descending suddenly and turning for ils 29. I am sorry to hear that you very disappointed although I received very good and positive feedback's from a lot of pilots that day.

Hi Matt, great videos as always! As a pilot, a few points to note which I hope will help you for future flights though I'm not sure if it has been mentioned before, the landing lights would normally only go on after getting my takeoff clearance and my After Takeoff checklist would be carried out as soon as the flaps are fully retracted. A few tips for you to plan your descents if no VATSIM service is available is that you can set 30nm, 20nm and 10nm distance rings on the FMC. You'll want to be 9,000ft and 250kts by 30nm, 6,000ft and flap up speed by 20nm and 3,000ft and flaps 5 speed by 10nm. Don't forget to add the airfield elevation to these figures and keep an eye on the 25nm MSA on your charts too! Also I like to add an extra 7 to 8nm when slowing from 300 to 250kts to be more conservative on the descent. So for example if I'm approaching the 30nm gate at 300kts, I would begin to slow down by 38nm. I would rather be lower and slower which is safer to start configuring the aircraft for the approach than to be too high and too fast which is a recipe for disaster. Has anyone else been experiencing an issue where if P3D is unfocused, upon clicking back into the sim, it will be frozen and then CTD with no apparent error. Sometimes it won't do it, sometimes it does, and it isn't after a specific amount of time of being unfocused. Never had the issue before upgrading to 3.4. Apparently others I have seen in the avsim forums are having the issue, and some say LM is working on a fix although there isn't any evidence of that. Has anyone else had these problems, and if so has anyone come across a solution?

For some reason Project Fly when you go to the radar option does not track Vatsim flights.

I have long dreamed of the consolidation of vatsim/ivao/pilotedge into one common airspace. This hobby is too small to justify competing separate environments. Imagine the ATC coverage and traffic if it were all one. Actually I feel the same for scenery. Imagine if developers could simply create for one plaftform, more money for them and more choice for us.

I was once flying online, got my clearance and everything, took off, followed the departure procedure when the controller asked me if I wanted to declare an emergency. I said no (of course) and then he said "either you have an emergency or you are a lier." As long as I remained in his airspace, he insisted to change my callsign into Pinocchio 123 and failed to tell me what I was eventually doing wrong in his opinion... Controllers have a hard job, but sometimes I think they feel superior to the pilots which results in such actions.
