I've had my Jogger for a year now and I love it. It's great for carrying the dogs and love the fact that although an estate it's high off the ground like an SUV.

I have it for 2 months now and I love it, it surprised me how nicely it drives. Mine is the LPG variant which has even less torque :) I needed a family car, and with a government program (7-seaters for families) that subsidized about 30% of the cost of the car, this choice was a no-brainer. Oh, and you are right - my biggest gripe is the handbrake (and the hill assist system) as well. My wife was unable to get it going on a slope (where she works, she got used to proper hill assist in a citroen and an opel), she was gradually rolling back until it became too close to a stone wall... Her solution was to not park there anymore :)

Thanks for watching #HowToBloke I have found a manual workaround for the electric handbrake. If you've not seen it already, its here kzfaq.info67rd8L7hGRM My wife doesn't like the electro-handbrake either! I did notice that some Joggers DO have a manual handbrake. But, fitted with their automatic gearbox, a Dacia Jogger is unlikely to roll forwards or backwards unexpectedly because of the residual momentum in the torque convertor at idle engine speed after a reverse or forward gear has been selected. For example; If it's in, "D" with the engine running, it won't roll backwards easily.

Regarding service If for argument sake you have done 12k in year mind you your engine only run 6k, so no need to change oil Less heat less force no turbo

Engine oil circulates; not just around the journal bearings of the turbo charger. The turbo kicks-in at around 2.2k rpm and it would be impossible to drive 12k with 6k of those being without the turbo engaging.
