It’s quartz. Diamonds don’t fracture like that sorry to say. And you can adjust the sensitivity to those testers to get false readings.

@GrassGuy 420: You are absolutely right! Diamonds don't fracture like that. This specimen's fracture is conchoidal to sub-conchoidal which you don't see in diamonds, which, when they break have a hackly fracture.

Doesn't look like a diamond. It's too angular and the lustre is too glassy. Diamonds have a greasy lustre, as if you've poured oil over the surface. Diamond testers don't show if it's diamond. It's better to invest in a spectrometer which will show you instantly whether you have a diamond or not. This specimen almost looks like obsidian glass...

Only diamonds fluoresce blue under sunlight. Obsidian glasses won't fluoresce. Moreover obsidian glasses are never colorless, they are all translucent or sometimes opaque and black in color

Awesome diamond, good clarity,carat, color, just need the cut.... then diamond dislodged from its host not more than 2 years... and if so long you found it on bedrock I a river that runs clear and not muddy....

I have a Gem that looks exactly like the one your showing , it weighs 8.30 grams. I thought it was desert glass at first but that's green . Am going to take it to the jeweller's tomorrow and have it tested to see if mine is a Diamond also.. Thanks for your video, I will let you know if in fact mine is a diamond also because everything about mine is the same as the one you show here.

Big stone you put at 3 green light and for small stone at 6 green and yellow.. A ways make sure your fingers are on steel on back of tester..
