No..u mix that story.. Sohni use to cross river each time on garra But that specific day shr didn't find a pakka garra n try to cross it on kacha garra but due to intensity of water n flood like situation she starts drowning.. When mahiwal saw this he also jumped into river..N both were drowned

@@annyali675you don’t speak for everyone. Pakistan is nothing more than our nationality. Our identity is much older than Pakistan. Our elders/ancestors call/called themselves Punjabis. There was Punjab when there was no Pakistan or India. Our identity, lineage, ethnicity, language, culture etc is centuries older than this 70 some year old country. The state has demonized our language, culture, traditions etc as Paindu systematically through Urdu media, history etc. Our own history of our ancestral land isn’t taught. It has imposed Urdu which is killing regional languages, Sindhi, Pashto etc. A good number of Punjabis especially the younger generation and mainly from the cities can’t even speak their own ancestral mother tongue neither it is taught. It is literally banned. Not only state but a lot of the blame falls on us as well, especially to the upper Middle class and elites who are only punjabis by name. There’s so much more. Wake up and de-colonize your mind(s) from this fake history of Pakistan and embrace your roots as punjabis and land punjab once again to who you truly are. Read and research about actual history and historical events regarding punjab, our language and so on. I hope u or anyone who reads this doesn’t take it the wrong way. Punjabis also shouldn’t celebrate 14th August as our elders were displaced, killed in the name of religion and new home due to higher powers when we were doing just fine on our homeland when we were already living since centuries. Would like to close it with, Long live Punjab and Punjabis on both sides. DE-COLONIZE YOUR MINDS.
