Rita Banerjee's account is different. Seemingly he bared his face to her family. Ever thought of the following: Why would GB sit behind curtain even with PM or other close associates who already know his identity. Possible answers assuming GB = SB: (i)Once you let off your guard, even with your trusted aides, it risks being off guard involuntarily with somebody else. Keeping guard could become a ritual that you don't want to forego (ii)GB remaining behind curtain keeps PM/other aides on guard. They are less likely to let out secret accidentally once they steps out of the room as the air of secrecy will weigh down their conscience constantly.
