📄 Pac-Man is a maze action game developed and released by Namco for arcades in 1980. The original Japanese title of Puck Man was changed to Pac-Man for international releases as a preventative measure against defacement of the arcade machines by changing the P to an F.

The old atari Paxman may be crap but it's sound effects are iconic. It's an amazing feat of programming considering hardware limitations and the fact it was made in 3 months by a skeleton crew.

More or less, yeah. I’m sure with the graphics, like brightness could be up or down, and I can say for Xbox & GameCube versions, they run 60FPS, and PS2 run 30FPS.

cons and (pros) Atari: bad graphics and ear piercing sounds(actually plays) GB: screen crunch and no color (pretty enjoyable) Commodore: takes forever to start (nothing else wrong) DOS: MY MOTHERFUCKING EYES (16:9, but that doesnt matter that much) GBC: screen crunch (color) GBA: colors (everything else is fine) game gear: more screen crunch (everything else is pretty much fine) Arcade: literally nothing. its the original. Neo Geo Pocket: its literally just game gear SNES: colors, and no 16 bit music (second worst one) alternate title: being nitpicky over pacman games which run almost exactly the same

I remember when Pac-man came out and when it came out for Atari. What a let down. We played all day anyway. I just recently bought a 1up version for my daughter. Original Pac-Man will always stand alone as : The First King of Arcade games.

The Atari 8bit version looks almost exactly like the Commodore 64 version, colors are a tad different, but the sound of eating a ghost is horrible on the Atari version. IDK why they did that.
