Love how smoothly you moved around and showed pens etc; thank you!

Thanks. I guess it wasn't completely garbage for a first try with a camera that kept shutting off.

What a fun crowd! Bryan, I was so bummed not to be able to drive down/Amtrak from Seattle for this, and I admit my decision was colored by the smaller scale (but pretty big fun) of the 2018 show I did attend. I was stunned to see the out-of-town participants and the letterpress folks. Kudos to the organizers! A fan of your videos, I did not know you were "local". Part of the hesitancy was lingering risk of infection. ...and fear of over-spending... I'm a nib-first vintage pen buyer nowadays; unable to try the flex, resistance, snap-back, etc. to find the exact result I want. That means I have to buy 3x what I need to trial them. (So I have a lotta selling ahead of me so I can happily spend on a vintage "find" next year.) A pen show is an energizing place to do this. Again, Kudos to the organizers to step up the scale and impact. Thanks for the walk-through.

I’m jealous. Looks like a fun show. How much were nib grinds there? Roughly.

Not sure about all of the nib meisters, but Matthew Chen charges $40 for standard grinds, and $50 for specialty grinds. I had him tune up an oblique italic I'd done myself, and he does excellent work.

@@bryanmarsh9886 thanks. A nicely tuned pen makes such a difference. That was a new discovery for me. The oblique sounds fun. I’m looking forward to an architecture nib.
