Awww all the Rimowa cases are so beautiful, it's so hard to choose!

Why's that? I think the hybrid is actually the better choice as it combines the benefits of both materials and therefore saves weight.

I saw a video of an aluminium Rimowa case surviving a plane crash, I don't think you could break one!

I spoke about why I chose the cabin S over the cabin size in my video. For me it was important to have a suitcase that was accepted on all the airlines I fly with.

Hiya, yes it fits, I got this size because it's compliant on most airlines this is the S (Small size).

The width is indeed wider than what airlines allow. So it depends on which airline. In the US, Spirit and Frontier's carry-on allowance is 24x16x10. But for JetBlue, United, and AA's allowance is 22x14x9. The width is 1.8" longer. You know what I realized though, the handle sticks out like a lot so in reality, the width is more or less 14". Maybe just maybe you can get away with it.
