Yeah I think I’d want to put a bigger drawstring bag or maybe even a packing cube or something like that that zips so it would be more obvious if it fell out everything would still be held together. But some people can keep better track of things than I can lol.

Yes she should be really careful with that bag. Because there are so many tourists, there are lot of snatchers around. My phone got stolen 2 years ago in Greece. Lesson learned. I threw away all of my bags without zips after that.

especially when in most (cheap) airlines you need to put your personal item under the seat. It seems impossible to have all those things stay inside the bag o.O

Hi I'm planning to go on a trip in Greece with my boyfriend this summer (august-september). Could you advise where should we go (without car) which island or city, where is the best place to stay and enjoy beach vibes :). I would really appreciate some advise from locals. Many thanks

@@ksusha2418 Hi! Do you have a specific city/ island mind? I'd say Greece is best enjoyed when you have a car to do road trips but I understand because I don't have a car either. I particularly love Athens, Ioannina (north Greece), but for beachy vibes it's Crete, Rhodes and Corfu or whatever island looks good to you will be amazing! Each place has bookable local bus and boat tours to take you to top spots like beaches, monuments etc. I'd say look up places with lots of good reviews rather than places that look tourist-friendly with mainly English menus (because these won't be as authentic and the prices will be really high). August is the busiest and hottest month (the wind is also much stronger, which you want to consider when going for a swim) and September is much better! I'd also recommend island hopping, where you stay in different islands in the same island complex for 1-3 days each. It's difficult to fit everything in a comment but I hope this helps! Oh and some recommendations whichever you go: try souvlaki, visit caves if they have them, boat tours, try Greek bakeries (fournos) for breakfast pastries and try Greek iced coffee: freddo espresso/ freddo cappuccino. Glad you could find someone so well aligned with you. Believe me, I know, traveling together can break relationships😄 It's like the same term of 'you can see their true colors like you were living under the same roof' So when I read something like this, I'm so happy! Nice people, genuine people actually do exist, just rare to find.

@@HappyLife-nf7wb To be honest if we travel for more than a week there is a chance one of us might kill the other 🤣 but we just don't talk for few weeks after coming back and forget until another travel 😉 It is better if we don't have anything plan in tight schedule - less tension, more chill and less chance to argue :)

I love this backpacker mentality but in my country we have a saying that translates: let the money suffer not the person. Obviously you guys weren’t suffering but not having personal space for my belonging is insufferable to me. Great for saving money! Not for peace of mind, money is not an object when it comes to traveling comfortably

@@Estassi55 each of us had a backpack - lot of space for personal items ;) we really not needed more things to take, and going to and through airport and then to first ho(s)tel without some heavy cosmetics is great 😃 traveling is so much lighter and easier (having suitcase/carry on in turns is great). And money will suffer at destination - when buying cosmetics (if I understood that saying correctly)😉 that are also years of practice - we just know what we need and want to take, and which things won't be necessary or won't be used by us. If I am going for stay-in-one-place vacation then sure, I can take more luggage (taking my laptop and books and probably some board game).

For me the bed is an invite for packing, laundry folding and putting down things that needs to get organized. It’s the only big and empty space i have so everything gets thrown there in the first place.

Same I don’t let food, dogs, children, my husband, breathing nor atoms on my bed!!! I don’t even let the bed on my bed

I aways disinfect my hard-case luggage when I return home, before I unpack

I also struggle because the dirty wheels going on my bed makes my skin crawl

Being skinny probably helps 😆 And the packing cubes!

That’s probably bc you don’t travel often. With more frequent travel comes an understanding that you almost never need everything you thing

They aren't worth the price honestly. You can get screw top containers from any brand for cheaper that won't take up as much space and weight

@@aland.9060 if your not greek, and your visiting for a month it depends from where you're going to stay. Some hotels are expensive and also some airbnbs bc Athens is the capital city. I think that you're going to be OK with 1000$ without the accommodation. But you're not going to do unesecery buys...

@ksusha2418 I think September is an amazing time weather-wise to visit Greece. Generally, the centre of Athens is nice to navigate on foot or by metro. I think taxis are not needed. Then, I think the islands that are beautiful and not too crowded are Serifos and Milos. It is nicer, though, if you can rent a small scooter. They are also kinda close to Athens by ferry. I wish you have a wonderful time!
