I’m on a mission this month to give you a number of ways for packaging cards for the holidays. This is packaging idea number 1. AND….these are easy to make and an economical gift idea too!
I absolutely LOVE to create One Sheet Wonder cards but this one takes it a step further. How? This creates not only 8 cards but a DIY gift box too!

Hi clever lady! I adore these cards because they are so simple and yet so beautiful. They remind me of the styles we used to make back in the 1990s. Sure they are great for giving to friends and relatives but we have talked about other places you can gift sets of cards. Here are some examples. 1. A nursing home 2. Patients in hospitals 3. Places where families stay while they have a child in the hospital such as a Ronald McDonald house 4. Organizations that have silent auctions. An example would be your local pet rescue. Sure it is nice to use one stamp set, but I really think that these sets work great for the stamp sets that we have that are ones we only use once a year. And example would be happy Father’s Day or happy Mother’s Day. Blessings to you! XO

This is perfect! I actually made my sisters, daughters, and nieces ten cards each, but the box looks large enough to hold that many. It’s worth a piece of paper to try! Thank you so much for sharing!

Jamie, you would have to play around with scrap paper. It took me some time to figure the one I did.

Thank you for such a simple way to package a set of cards! Q: How do you determine the dimensions to make lids for boxes? Curious about a lid. I was thinking it would be nice to have one made of window sheet instead of dsp so they are easier to see card designs.

I would look back to Connie’s older videos. She used to have a lot of videos about boxes. And I know in at least one or maybe a couple of them she gives directions on how to make a lid to match your box.

I got to thinking about this question and so I gave it a try. I used the same measurements as the box and just scored it one score mark less than the box and it worked perfectly. I used the window sheets.

Connie,if you made another box say 1/2” or 1” larger would it make a lid for the box? The lid would be nice if it was see thru,topped off with that beautiful bow.💐🌸x

Hello, Connie! I’m desperate for a good paper cutter. I’ve had the Tim Holtz 12” cutter, the small Fikars with the guide wire and most recently, the large rotary blade Fisksrs. They each have presented their own problems. Your cutter is doing the dsp very well. How does it do with heavy weight card stock ? If it cuts clean, I really need one. Thank you.
