Packing Carry-on only for a cruise - Women and Kids edition
Hi Cruisers, It's time for another of our Packing Carry On Only videos. This time we really have a packing challenge ahead of us. We are doing a 12 night Asia cruise on the Diamond Princess, with a very long flight included. If you’ve ever wondered what to bring on a cruise this video might be helpful to you.

If you've watched any of our previous videos, you know that when driving to port we tend to be pretty relaxed with our cruise packing. Some would say I'm am an over-packer (who, me?). But when we fly, it's a whole different story. We don't want to deal with baggage fees, waiting at luggage carousels, and hauling heavy suitcases around an airport. On this trip we'll be continuing our habit of packing carry on only for cruises. We are starting to perfect this carry on only strategy, and we've got lots of packing tips for carry on only to share with you. This time we'll focus solely on carry on only for women and we’ll also briefly review what to bring on a cruise for kids. If you are working on packing light, carry on only is definitely something you should consider. Packing for a cruise can be stressful, but for us adding airport considerations to the mix makes it that much more daunting. First cruise: 2 large suitcases, 1 carry on size AND garment bag. Next cruise: 1-2 carry on size or 1 med size suit case and garment bag. Work in progress :) Definitely taking a hoodie on the next cruise. I'm always cold and sometimes you just want to be comfy :)

Love. Thanks for this. People likes/dislikes are so different. I strongly dislike doing laundry on vacation. I went on land vacations for 2.5 weeks to three different islands and was forced to do laundry...you’d think I was being tortured. We once rented a villa that came with a housekeeper and it was great having laundry done. I do try to come back with clean laundry. Not in-between though. Thanks for all the information Sherri

I'm really enjoying YOUR cruise info/packing/hacks videos. Due to sheltering-in , I have lots of idle time to learn & get ideas for my next cruise..... if that happens....? We're going to try and pack a hybrid of checked and carry-on for our 14nt Alaska cruise. I'll have to let you know how it turns out :) I REALLY hope the 31 Store brings back the Origami Pop pattern! I have 4 of the Family Organizers in different patterns and they're all useful! We use strong magnets and hang them on the wall!

Hi Sheri! we love to watch your family's adventures. I have two specific questions: you wore the CUTEST white dress that you used on the Blue Hole Jamaica trip on the recent MSC Seaside as a coverup and also wore it on the Seaside that trip for the White Party. It had bell sleeves and tassels on bottom. Wondering what brand and where you found it? SO cute and looking for something just like it. Secondly, another cute white dress that you wore in your Asia trip at Nha Trang Amazing Snorkel adventure off the cruise ship as a coverup. Loved that one too. Looking for brand and where you found it. Thanks a bunch!!!

anything up to 7kgs is classed as carry on over here in Australia on planes and anything over up to 26kgs is check in luggage. Only the special ppl get 26kgs. the rest of us its 23kgs Question for you..I find the packing cubes great but because we can fit so much in them, they can make the case heavier..do you find that?

I’ve been contemplating purchasing the motherlode wheeled carryon. I love the backpack but sometimes I don’t feel like carrying so much weight on my back.

Just an FYI - You cannot leave a snow globe in carry on luggage because of the water - they must be checked.

I bought a Christmas snow globe for my granddaughter several years ago, and it was taken by TSA in Tampa. It never crossed my mind that it was a liquid!

Dude, one of my kids had my giant simplehuman mirror in his backpack, and the other one had my blow dryer, rotating spin brush and straightener in his. Make use of the that extra backpack space!

When my husband and I leave our room for dinner every night, we bring a bag with us (because we know we're not going to want to come back until bed time). In that bag we carry some cards, a small notepad of paper, a pen, my blistex, a phone or camera, and a cup to fill up and carry around a drink. Is that weird?

I say leave the tripod at home. I think viewers love your vlogs bc you show real life cruising, tours of the cruise ship, dinners, excursions, fashion, etc. I really don't need/want to see interviews/sit downs with the cruise staff. Thank you for your vlogs!
