Күн бұрынWith fall semester right around the corner I wanted to make a video for incoming SGU students on what to pack and what they should consider bringing to the island.
When I first moved to Grenada I didn't pack a lot of things that I wish I had. I hope this video helps you on your journey to the island.
For your convenience i broke this video down to a few main sections: homegoods, clothes, food, personal products and actives/misc. please see the timecode linked below if you would like to skip to any of these particular questions.

Hello, how many suitcases can you check in typically? I heard there were some limits placed by several airlines as to how many you can bring

Hello, yes I have heard that some of the airlines have added caps on how much suitcases each traveler can bring. I traveled to Grenada with 4 suitcases when I first moved there, and I traveled with one other person so we could split the bags up between the two of us. I hope this helps! Students defiantly bring a lot of suitcases every fall. If you are not able to bring many things it would be best to try and buy off students leaving the island ahead of time but most students leave in May & new students arrive in August. Some med students remain on island longer if they are studying for Step, you might find they are willing to sell you most of their items.

Hello, I found the country to be safe for female medical students- there are a lot of female students that attend SGU

It has always been safe. It was safe in the 80's and still so for gals! Mutch safer than most of our US cities! Like any country, just keep your monies safe and best to not go anywhere alone at night! It really is one beautiful country!
