The vlog is really early tonight! It's 7.30pm here in the U.K. whereas it's usually more like 8.30. So that's good! I know what you mean about headaches, Mary. I get them a lot and they're horrid things. I hope your team can come up with some ideas as to how to avoid them so often. Ollie is so sweet when he kisses the camera!! Hope everything goes well for you tomorrow. X

I deal with chronic migraines, and I completely understand your thankfulness for being headache-free. It's like you've been in pain for so long, when the pain isn't there anymore you become so attune to how well you feel. It helps me to not take my non-migraine times for granted.

when Mary said, it's so wonderful to not be in pain, I almost cried, because holy shit I can so relate to that. I've been in pain for the past couple of months now with my joints, and going from doctor to doctor nobody can really help or figure out what the problem is, and it's so good when for some reason the painkillers work and I'm not in pain. it's like as if I can suddenly breathe and actually exist. I've had a new medication for a week now, and I can actually concentrate on other stuff besides pain, and it's so amazing. so good.

I've never had much luck recording sunsets/pretty skies either. Sometimes I look back through my phone and I'm like "why did I take a picture of this powerline? Oh, sunset, right!" Praying that your surgery goes well tomorrow!

I'll be praying for you tomorrow- Wednesday, which is the day of your surgery Mary, and for an easy surgery, fast recovery and fuel to give you the energy and weight that will help you feel much better. I totally know that feeling of elation when you are no longer in pain! I don't get it very often but when I do, awesome sauce!! Glad your headache went away and hope they stay away!

I have CF and I got a feeding tube a couple years ago, it was harder at first when your body is getting use to the new food but its gets better and I still have it now!! it REALLY helped with my weight! I hope your surgery goes well Mary! ❤❤

Hi friends, Mary I can relate somewhat to how you feel when your headache goes away. I had migraines for many years and when one would go away, it was like being reborn..so grateful! You & Peter and Ollie are dear to my heart.

I completely understand crying from thankfulness that you feel good. I have spent the last week crying on and off during the day because I feel so good. I was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism which causes a lot of issues and my body just felt awful all the time. Once I was put on meds I have never felt better!! Good Luck in the Hospital Mary!!

I'm so sorry Mary was hurting so bad, but the cocoon made me laugh with just her breathing hole in the blankets because I do the exact same thing. Didn't know anyone else knew did the breathing hole strategy. One summer a mosquito bit me on the lip cuz it was the only skin sticking out of the blankets and I woke up with a huge bottom lip!

I'm praying for you guys and your surgery today. I am getting tested for cf in a month and if that comes back negative I will be going to mayo in Minnesota for a few weeks to get more testing done.

I wasnt tested as a baby. I was born just slightly before testing babys was a regular thing. Apparently you can have something called delayed cystic fibrosis where major symptoms dont start till later in life.

Betty Meier Believe it or not, I'm actually writing this in the car on my way to the Mayo clinic in Rochester! I don't have CF, but I've been to Mayo a dozen times now (despite living 4 hours away by car), and I know how scary new doctors can be when you're chronically ill, but all but one of the doctors I've seen there have been fabulous. I'm sending you good vibes for your testing and whatnot! 💜

Katy Kostich thanks for the encouragement! I am excited to go if my test comes back negative. It sound like they will focus on all my health issues as a whole instead of just the specific doctors specialty which is what I need. I live in wisconsin and am only 5 hours away.

They tested me for CF 3 times when I was 14 because I had so many symptoms of it. They thought for sure that was it but I have Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia and on transplant list for both lungs. Good Luck on your test!

Totally understand the excitement of something working. I got excited over fingerless gloves for my Raynauds, and even more excited over meds for my colitis that work. Here's hoping things go smoothly and for an easy, issue free recovery.

Fingerless and convertible are so hard to find, my mom and I buy tons when we do. She also cuts cheap gloves which works for us too

selbarton I was just notified that Raynauds was added to my other autoimmune diseases. I'll have to check out fingerless gloves. My palms are fine but I have numbing in all fingers but it's not carpal. Don't have follow up in person visit for two weeks so really don't know anything about Raynauds

I had a Kangaroo pump while I had a J tube! Good luck with your surgery, Mary!

That's really good to know about the Kangaroo Pump! That's the brand my insurance has approved, but I didn't know about the automatic water flushes. We are still waiting to see if I will have an NJ or peg with 2 surgeries I have coming up and Pre-Op next week. Good luck with your procedure!

Mary, I know what you mean about wanting to cry after the pain has gone. I have cried due to relief after 3 or 4 days of going through hell (please excuse my French but thats truly what it is) with a fibro flare up. I hope you do well at the hospital!! I got to the Emergency Room Thursday night and was admitted to the hospital the next morning for my Cystic Fibrosis. I had the works: fever, loss of appetite, cough, increased mucus production. All started with a cold that worked its way through my family. At least my new CF clinic and doctors are in San Francisco, so I am in a beautiful and historic city! I'm hoping to leave on Saturday and do IVs at home.

At 11:25 you had me cracking up Mary. When you said sarcastically "woo hoo you switched your needle" lol. Also, I order from the kids menu sometimes too. Mainly when I go to McDonald's because the mighty kids meal is perfect, it's a small fry, and 6 nuggets and a drink and an orange. Perfect for me and I save money :)

Mary best of luck I will be praying for you! Got a J tube last September. Not to scare you but it was very painful, and I have had a lot of surgery but IV tylenol worked wonders, better then dilaudid or fentanyl, wish we had tried it sooner. That black backpack you guys got from the homecare company fits the Joey and two bags, thats why it was so big...but I'd guess you wouldn't need an auto flush during the day. Love you guys!

Asking for a kid's menu was a brilliant idea!! I'm from France and I spend a year in the USA for my studies and I always had a hard time with the portion size 😊.
