I liked how you actually showed the items inside of the suitcase. Most videos only show the packing cubes. Thanks.

This is the best packing video I've seen. I used to think packing more separates was best so you can mix & match however dresses is a better option. I only packed one dress on my last trip to Italy four years ago and wished I'd packed more as it's so convenient to just slip on a dress and you're good to go. I'm going again in September and I'm definitely packing more dresses. Thanks for the inspiration !

So glad I found this video. I am studying abroad in Rome for two months and am only taking a carry-on. This is super helpful! I feel better to see someone else has done it. So many of the carry-on only videos are for like a week of clothes and I'm always confused as to why packing in a carry-on for a week or 10 days or something is considered an achievement lol. Thank you so much!!!

im sure the packing cubes definetly help but heres a smart tip to help pack everything tighter. Ranger roll your clothes. saves a ton of space. you could probably fit most of your clothes into one of those packing cubes instead of multiple.

If ur over a certain size tho it doesn't help unless u only need like two outfits. I'm a sz 22/24 and it legit comes out looking like a neck pillow. For my over night bags it's ok but for a trip I'd need cubes. Just bought compression cubes and so excited to try em out!!

l am traveling for 6 weeks in May/June and seeing how you packed makes me want to go start my trial packing to see if l too can get it all into a carry-on..as an international traveler l am allowed checked in luggage, but as l am also doing some domestic flights that charge for checked bags l really want to try and limit..l figure that l pack for a week or two's worth of clothing l will then launder on free days...thanks for the vid..

I'm sorry, l tried and failed to pack for six weeks into a carry-on..l didn't even get shoes & toiletries in before it was full up..I'm gonna have to go down the route of a checked in bag..l think part of my problem is that, because I'm a larger lady my clothes are larger, thus taking up more room..and god forbid if l had wanted to buy souvenirs..

Carol Taylor one thing that works well is planning your outfits and no more that 3 pairs of shoes one in which you’ll wear. Pack with a color scheme in mind too so that why you know everything is interchangeable. If it’s a cold environment pack super thin but warm layers. Don’t be afraid to wear things more than once.

What confuses me is why most of these people talk about what they're wearing, is it just to show off? Is t cold there or something?I've never even been inside of an airport so it's a legit question, I'm not trying to be a dick.

Trala1a No worries, mate. Most of the time the purpose of showing the clothes is to give other an idea of how much they can expect to fit in their own carry on suitcase. Often the person will say where they are traveling to, so listing the clothes also give the view an idea of what to wear for certain activities. Hope this helps! Cheers!
@cristinasujoy
@cristinasujoy 7 жыл бұрын
Trala1a not only airports are cold, but airplanes freeze you!! I would never wear a short dress because my legs would turn blue! So layers of clothes are key if you're going to a warm place. You can shed layers when you arrive.

Plus, I think most people wear their biggest chunkiest clothing (boots, shoes, jacket, etc) so they don’t have to make room inside the suitcase! Also, I usually wear socks in case security wants me to take off my shoes... don’t want to go barefoot on an airport floor!
