Are chemicals needed to apply to parts in advance or is this strictly heat transfering of the image? How long does it take- to prep the framed images,logos, txt etc? I didn't see any of that prep workin advance to understand how long it takes to frame in Uprinted logos etc... Is the heat press used here automatic or manual and can I use an existing manual pad printer if I already own one? This look kind of like, UV on DTF transfer using our Uprint Printers--- I'm assuming the film is acting like a laminate-- but I'm not sure how you are sticking the toner to various items without chemically treating them first... Thanks hope you chaps in SA are doing well.

Hi Michael, thanks for your question. Yes you still need to wipe activator on the product for certain items, however things like wood, diary, cork etc only needs heat transfer. Our new Conform Film demonstrated in this video above can conform to any product or any shape. The surface can be rough like a plastic cooler box, have dimples like a golf ball or ANY type of surface can be branded. Preparation is not long, simply separate the logos on your design software at the distance for the frame to be placed(Basically make a frame on your design software and place the artwork inside the frame and the duplicate this on the page). Print on the film takes 10 to 20 seconds, cut the film and press the frame on the film. Place your product in the pad press, hover the frame with artwork over the desired area to print and press the pad down. In production once you start pressing you can do a product every 30 seconds. For more information we will send a detailed overview of how things get done. You can use an existing pad printer however you will need a heated plate which UPrint can supply. The pad press in this video above is manual and we went with manual because it is much cheaper to the end user and requires no skill to operate. So we are definitely on most surfaces like ceramics, glass, stainless steel, plastic, coated wood, mining helmets, pens, powerbanks, key rings, golf balls etc are all being wiped with activator before pressing. There is no chemical on the laminated film, the "Conform Film" is only used to carry the toner and it is special because it can conform or flex to any shape possible.
