Jesper went down to Alhambra Club in Marbella to hook up with coach German Schäfer again. German is coaching lots of different players on different levels and today we get to meet a former elite football player for Sweden, Niklas Sandberg, who is now aiming to be the best in his country in his age category 45 plus.
Jesper is playing forehand behind the service line and wants to improve his tactical aspect of the game. Where should you aim when your diagonal opponent is at the net?
Also, when do you play the lob and where do you aim? This is super advice when you play defence.

Such a great point that even though the lob is a safe, defensive shot, that doesn't mean you should be doing them when you're under the most pressure because the risk of a bad lob is so high.

The lob is primarily an attacking shot choice. It's purpose is to gain control of the net - therefore transition to attack. The only time it's defensive is if you are under a lot of pressure and need to play the lob to reset your position (win time).

You are the man , dude! You should say something more about that Padel club... its name and l where it is in Marbella! It will be useful to people who are thinking about doing a "Padel vacation" and I am sure your coach will appreciate it..
