In this video I demonstrate my Paderno Handheld Spiralizer. It has 2 interchangeable blades and a lid that doubles as a food pusher. One blade makes large spaghetti type noodles and the other makes a flat ribbon style. It's a handy little gadget that does a decent job of spiralizing most veggies and firmer fruits like apples. It is described as being able to spiralize most any vegetable but in a previous test, I had trouble using carrots because the opening of the device is so wide that the carrot was too unstable and became difficult to push through, resulting in small broken pieces of carrots similar to using a box grater. I may just need more practice with it. But overall I think this would be useful if you are just starting to get more veggies into your diet and don't want to fork out $30. + dollars for one of the larger, bulkier machines.
My channel contains video reviews of products I own & have purchased with my own money. I am not in any way affiliated with any company that manufactures, sells or represents these products. My intent is to be helpful in sharing my own experience with these products. It also contains DIY projects that are for craft and/or information purposes only and should not be construed as expert or medical advice.

Thanks for showing how to use this gadget. Mine came in the mail today from the walmart.com site. $9.99 US plus tax. I need to go get some veggies for it.

You're welcome! Yes you definitely need some veggies to practice with. It's a lot of fun once you get the hang of how it works. Be sure to push the veggie through as you turn it, otherwise you'll just get mush. Thanks for watching! :)

Thank you so much for your tutorial! I received this for Christmas and wasn’t quite sure how it would work with a zucchini and you answered my question!

Great review. Thanks! You're like the queen of kitchen gadgets! I've been looking for an inexpensive vegetable sheet cutter (the kind that can cut zucchini into sheets for lasagna, yum!). Kitchen aid makes a mixer attachment but it's $99 but I don't think I'll use it often enough to justify the cost so I've been looking for something hand-operated. Please let me know if you have, or have seen, such a gadget. Thanks again! Loving your product reviews :-D

Lol! Thanks! My husband would agree with you! :D I have a very small kitchen so I'm constantly having to shift things around to make room for more gadgets and small appliances. As for the Kitchenaid attachment, yes I've seen it and it was tempting at first but I can't justify the expense either. It also looks a bit complicated to assemble and use. A lot of small parts to clean! :/ When I want to use zucchini in lasagna I use a veggie peeler and carefully cut long, thin strips the width of the peeler to use as noodles. They're not as wide as pasta noodles but it works fairly well. But your question has me thinking that there must be a kitchen hack somewhere to do this. Hmmmm.... Thanks for watching ! :)
