I am a keen fan of karnatic music of south india for the past five decades. I was feeling little frustrated when the performers were doing out same ragas for years and not touching other beautiful ragas at all.(Balamurali krishna was the only exception.)I expressed my dissatisfaction in a musical meet on karnatic music. Their reply was not convincing for me. So I started listening to Hindustani Music. And what an amazing experience. With so many pandits and ustads, men and women I am having a wonderful listening experience. I like all the Hindustani singers. I like these two brothers immensely. When Pt.Rajan Mishra died recently, I felt I lost a good friend. Om Shanti. There is no country in the world, who can come near us in arte,culture etc. Bharat Mata ki jai.

I cried and cried when I heard the news. I had the great fortune to play taanpura for these illustrious brothers, maybe 10 years ago, so this felt like a personal loss. Panditjee is the sweetest Ustaad I have ever met. So kind. Of course, the loss of his voice and skill is a great loss for the whole world. So grateful that we have his recordings, including this one. जब भी मुझे पंडित जी को सुनने का सौभाग्य प्राप्त हुआ, मैं यह देखा कि पंडित जी ख़्याल गायकी के बाद कार्यक्रम का समापन भजन से किए हैं, अधिकांशतः कार्यक्रम में आपसब भी ऐसा ही पाएंगे। अगर यह इनकी अंतिम कार्यक्रम/प्रस्तुति है तो आप पाएंगे कि पंडित जी "बाबुल मोरा नइहर छूटे रे जाय" गाकर कार्यक्रम का समापन किए हैं । शायद उन्हें आत्मानुभूति हो गई थी कि बैकुंठधाम से बुलावा आया गया है। ऐसे सिद्ध संगीत के योगी को मेरा प्रणाम.....🙏🙏🙏....एवं भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि....जय बाबा बैद्यनाथ... हर-हर महादेव........ॐ शांति ॐ......!

It is so very appropriate that Pt. Rajanji, by singing Darbari and Bhairavi is bidding us, his admirers a final goodbye. His humility and worship of the Almighty thru' his music is so laudable and examplary for all musicians and music lovers. May your soul rest in the heavenly abode of singing Angels!

A heartfelt sadness to me after Pt Rajan mishra Demise .....he was such a great musician and guru who always bind the old traditions with the new version .... what a delivery of this raaga ... Ahhhaa ... our deepest condolences for the spiritual soul .

My humblest gratitude to the Kanebuva Pratishthan for uploading this masterpiece. The loss of Panditji is terrible and in many ways personal too I was a PG student in Belgaum (1985) and 20 bucks to attend the concert was a princely sum even for an ICMR Scholarship Holder. Rajanji insisted that free seats be given to any student irrespective of their institution, the passes were free to the students of the KLE School of Music. I can never forget that gesture.

I have lump in my throat listening to swansong by a master while paying humble tribute to the emperor of khyal gayaki Pt. Joshi! I have had good fortune of listening to them both live. Invariably those were otherworldly experience!! You left unbridgeable void panditji. Humble gratitude and Hardik Naman.

I organised "Bhairav Se Bahiravi Tak" in Shanmukhananda in Mumbai. Rajan and Sajan Bhaiya performed for whopping 10 hours ... I guess presently there is no vocalist who has so much of Raagdari Khajana, energy, and aesthetics to perform for such a long time yet maintaining the Gharana singing purity. We will miss you Rajan Ji.

I could not control tears in my eyes when I heard the shocking news. Pandith Rajan mishraji's dignified and humble smiling face, his beginning address in every concert, and ofcourse his vibrant voice can never be forgotten. Few years back I got a chance to listen at a temple festival in Bangalore with the mirutangam accompanied really unexpected . The mirutangam artist was a young man beautiful combination .The audio system was so good .
