Im a Galway man, and although our rivalry with Mayo is a strong one, I never felt that there was any bitterness or animosity. Any time I was in McHale park when playing them, Ive only ever come across sound people you'd have the craic with.

Be quiet, the amount of times Mayo were denied by a dirty hop of a ball (96) or freak own goals (16) and only losing by a single point against the greatest team to ever play the game just goes to show they had everything they needed but bad luck is bad luck.
