This isn't what I was expecting when I read "Pagan Metal," but Holy Shizr am I glad I clicked it. I feel like my head just exploded like in a fire as intense as Satan's crotch in leather pants in a Texas August at a barbecue.

@narva77 No, I like many Scandinavian Metal Bands, but Amorphis is one I nearly never listen to. Ensiferum as well, which is funny because many People said my Pagan Metal sounds a lot like them apparently. xD

This song reminds me of the beach bonfires my friends and I used to have on the northern coast of California. These weren't your regular boring old beach parties as well, these were something way more fulfilling. Making a driftwood bonfire, cooking shellfish and pieces cod we caught ourselves on the fire wrapped in seaweed, opening up to each other, and staring into the flames while the sun set and the sky grew dark with the sound of waves crashing. I miss it... Sorry, had to share haha

theMatt2610 Not a tech paper, but I have a 3 page writing assignment for geography that I'm up late working on (2:35...feels like 5:30, though :/ ). Good thing one of the countries I chose to write about is Finland, so this works as good immersive inspiration. :D Hope your paper went well!

Juhannus is a midsummer festival/feast in Finland and kokko is a bonfire. We use to make big bonfires at the evening.

The Finnish Flag is raised in the flagpole on Midsummer Eve for the Midsummer Day. The flag is hoisted at 6 pm on Midsummer eve and flown all night till 9 pm the following evening. It is a public holiday and most businesses are closed.

@ljzimmer I hear you man, whenever I go back to visit, I always hear rap music blasting away in peoples cars. You can literally hear the bolts shaking loose out of the mechanism. Nice to meet another person from NorCal, miss it over there, enjoy it :)

I wish my community did these kinds of events at least a few times a year... Instead, there is never a mass gathering for an event like this. You have to go and find one, and it's hard... What we need is a season of awesome gatherings and celebrations out in the dark with candles and bonfires... pilgrimmages... whoever gets to do this kind of stuff often is LUCKY... I'v only been to one small gathering out in a field at night towatch fireworks, and I had a blast :)

@happywazaa Because it was Midsummer and I wished I could celebrate it like they do in Finnland. Too bad I live in Switzerland, where no one does, so I made a Song about it. Its also kind of a Tribute to the heathen Feast ;)
