The Broke Bloke - This is my take on the Pagani Design PD1703 v.3 homage to the Omega Speedmaster. This watch is also a 1:1 to the real watch, especially with the changes from v.2.

Watch out man, don’t use the word fake when talking about homage / design replicas, some prominent channels have been shut down by youtube due to misinformed complaints about fake watches being promoted.

It really is that good. Love mine. Every time I wear it I keep thinking "only £60". I have a colleague who has the original Omega Speedy and we compared them side by side. Sure it is not quite there but he was impressed with it for just £60.

Just got one. Requires a little home finishing on the edges. Cool bracelete but I put a black leather strap on it. Lumens are almost non existent but totally worth $120 I paid for V3. Looks like a $8000 watch from across the dinner table.

The design on the back of the watch is not the hippocampus. The hippocampus refers to the picture of the seahorse on omega watches.

I'm a big fan of NASA and the Space Program as well as Star Trek. So I've considered this watch for some time. I had other watches on my list for the 11/11 Sale so I thought I'd wait until the next big AliExpress sale. But then was watching the late 90s TV show Millennium. There was a shot of star of the show, the great Lance Henricksen looking at his watch. And there IN FULL 60 INCH SCREEN is the Omega that the 1701 homages. I ordered the watch before the episode ended.

Nice, but why didn't you get the Version 4? Even better! No date! Just subscribed by the way! Good to support new channels! Oh just to let you know the mechanical module on the VK63 is running the big chrono seconds hand, the 60 minutes, and the 24 hr timer. The quartz is running the hour, minute and small seconds hand subdial, and date, though strictly speaking the date wheel is also connected by a mechanical gear, .

I have the two tone gold and black dial. I find the 24 hour sub dial worthless. They should have put an hour elasped instead of a 24 hour sub-dial. My problem with any quartz watch is that sometimes they stop working when you replace the battery for no reason. Other than that, beautiful watch. Great review.

Depends of the movement quality. Most cheap Miyota movements yes they will break pretty quick and easily, now more mecha-Hybrid quartz and Swiss quartz last pretty decently in my experience.

Always be sure to short out the "all clear" contacts after replacing the battery, before closing up the watch. Many quartz movements get finicky if you replace the battery without shorting AC to "reboot" the watch.

316 L stainless steel is reference to “light in carbon” steel witch is a medium quality variation used for example in surgical instruments and medical materials. Is the steel used also in Apple high end devices as the Iphones Pro till this year (witch are titanium grade 5 finished). In the original Speedmaster they used also 316 L alloy, and nowadays swiss high end watches are built in 904 stainless steel witch is considered the best alloy known in terms of degradation by oxides and salted water, but way more expensive

My advice after many years in the hobby, ist to not buy this watch but save up your money and purchase the Bulova Luna Pilot 43. Of course it's personal taste so no hate for the pagani.

Im eyeing up the rose gold one but with the rose gold dial. I have the pagarni design submariner in bi metal. Proper work horse and good quality so hoping this is similar quality...watching your vid it seems like it is!

316L SS resists corrosion very well, so it's preferable than cheaper grades of SS. Still, I think the watch needs more polish. The case and bracelet have some sharp edges and the watch just feels kinda cheap because of that. It could also use some AR coating on the crystal, which is a shame given how it's sapphire and it's almost too good to be true.

Unfortunately they have dropped the iconic dots at 12 o'clock on the latest version. Aliexpress is still using the pictures of the previous version for some reason (probably because the "2 dot" version looks far superior ).

Quartz. The chrono is mechanical but is powered off the battery rather than an automatically wound spring.
