Pagani Design: The Best Budget Daytona???

This is the Pagani Design Chronograph Sport. A direct homage of the Rolex Daytona. Offers the Seiko Meca-Quartz movement, that is offered in much more expensive watches. This I picked up on eBay for around $80 direct ship from China. Took about a month to arrive at my residence. It is hard to beat spec for spec this watch at this price point.

I bought the one with silver dial and rubber strap from eBay for 58 dollars just out of curiosity so far no issues and the hand aligns perfect the watch looks more expensive than what I paid for!!!

One thing I haven't seen mentioned is that this watch is pretty much useless as a chronograph, since the small minute dial is divided only in intervals of 5 minutes. The small second hand dial is marked the same way. The small dial on the right has similar problems (marked in 2 hour intervals) and is mainly useful for balancing the other small dials to make a pleasing dial layout. The markings on all of those dials are grey on reflective black and impossible to read without a magnifying glass. So, in summary, it's a pretty watch, but you had better have your phone or a $10 Casio along if you want to measure lap times.

I have one purchased from Amazon 2024 Ref 1644 the water resistance is 100 meters. I tested it fully immersed for 72 hours

I have had one of these for a year now. It is superb for the price. I don’t think you could oil fill this watch because the chronograph function is mechanical (ie mechaquartz). I’m not an expert but that is what I believe.

I wear Pagani Design Panda as a beater watch and get compliments from costumers almost everyday , they think it's worth thousands because looks expensive 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 pops

I read years and years ago in GQ magazine that men should never wear a loose wash that slides up and down the arm. It makes it look as if you bought it off the streets.

A loose watch really ruins the bracelet also. The looser you wear it the bracelet whether gold or steel, will have unnecessary strain on the links, which stretches out the bracelet

That misaligned chrono hand can be adjusted. Maybe the manual contains instructions for this specific movement on how to adjust the chrono hand. Also, you do have the 100M water resistant variant which only came out in 2020. This watch used to only have 30M of WR.

HI Jason! Just the vid I was looking for... found you looking for info on oil-filled quartz mod. 1. What do you think of the idea of poil filling htis baby? What would the aesthetic be like? With the additional little dials owuld they have a problem in the oil? 2. If you oil fill a watch, is the process reversible if you don't like the effect? a distressed leather or perforated leather rally strap. Im in Florida , so i may try a white vintage Tropic strap for the summer ! I have the exact bracelet fit issue as you If i add one link back in, I'll need to use the micro adjust. I think on Ally you can get a upgraded Rolex bracelet knock off with functioning glide lock

I have both colours. Its 11mm thin, not 12mm. 2019 models had 30m WR. This is 2020 issue with 100m WR. As for the chrono hand doesnt line up perfectly, ALL quartz & meca-quartz can be calibrated easily. Lots of youtube videos on that. This happens sometimes. Best daytona homage

Great info! Mine measured at 11.6 mm thick, so I just rounded it up to 12. If you have both colors which do you prefer, just curious. The white dial or the black dial?

All Things Random i prefer black just by a little bit. I know most people prefer panda white Black looks tough, more manly but also luxurious. Dial & bezel looks integrated. White looks cool, more beautiful. More contrast. Both colours are great colours. Cannot go wrong with any of them

The second hand isn’t two seconds off. Each second is divided into 5 parts. That’s two fifths of a second off. That’s a lot different than two whole seconds off.

Nice review! The only thing that freaks me out is when people review watches with gloves on and the watch is already dirty! (maybe it's because I'm watching on a 27" computer screen) 😁

Tony Lillard I just hate as I review leaving fingerprints that get worse and worse over the review. Plus I lost my pinky nail on my right hand from a dog bite a while ago. Not pretty on a 27” screen

I've saw a fe reviews now, some report problems with the buttons, some bad details about the dial and bad bracelet/clasp.

Honestly with this much of a budget watch there’s bound to be some quality control issues. I haven’t really had any problems with the brand in the past, but look at something like a Seiko Who are also known for their quality control problems like misaligned bezels. And those are well over hundreds of dollars for their dive watches, and this is under 100 bucks

I just got mine. The bracelet is really cheap and it rattles. It feels like a toy. I replaced it with leather. Much better.

I have the Parnis and it does not have a screw down crown or the square indices at 3-6-9 (like the Rolex). If I recall, the Parnis is 39mm, not 40 like the Pagani. while they appear nearly identical, they are in fact different. My Parnis is the same color way as yours. I’m enjoying your channel! Keep up the good work! And BTW, it’s dead easy to recalibrate the chrono second hand (which is 2/5 of a second off on yours). Lots of videos just search “recalibrate VK63”

I agree, if you are looking at getting one of these, look at the Parnis version, it is 39mm as per the original. The bracelet is crap, order the replica rubber strap, more comfortable, and makes it look super luxury. I have recieved a ton of compliments when wearing.

Why? Does Vostok and Orient make a daytona homage, no. Vostok, huge oversized, overpriced Seiko powered watches. Orient, good watches but no daytona. Pagani Design, amazing value, specs and it looks so like the daytona. I guess we all like different watches.
