I'm gonna assume people have commented this a million times before we actually met Akainu, the third admiral, but since he's finally here and we've seen his personality I feel like it's finally relevant enough to properly comment about this; All 3 admirals represent their own ideology of what justice is: Kizaru with his goofy face and always seeming confused represents uncertain justice, Aokiji with his laid back attitude and willingness to let criminals go sometimes if he thinks they aren't that bad or a threat represents lazy justice, and Akainu with his mentality of anyone who doesn't commit their lives and die for the cause are traitors represents absolute justice, which is the scariest one we've seen because we initially saw him in Robin's backstory when the buster call was launched on Ohara, he was the vice admiral who sank the refugee ship where the civilians were evacuated to by Spandine, opposite of how Aokiji, also a vice admiral back then, let Robin go because she's just a child who hasn't done anything wrong as a favor to his friend Saul. Imagine just being a random ass Marine who got called to duty that day. The ocean freezes over, magma rains from the sky, light could murder someone. Then one of your own side's ships falls from literally out of the blue, only to reveal a lineup of random pirates with seemingly nothing to do with the war strolling out of it. Including some that were literal mortal enemies not even a year ago. Wild day, and that's not even the half of it!

I agree that Akainu gives "lifelong military dog" energy, but speaking for (at least a few) of the army bros that were in for at least 5 years....Time loses it's meaning and takes on a whole different one. Tracking things by date is not a simpler matter since everything else is more or less dictated for you, you need only pay attention to the time on the 24 hour clock. "When I was in-" is the military "Back in year/month-" since pinpointing time is harder than just "Yeah I was in Korea when that happened for sure, I couldn't read shit on the signs" or "I remember scrubbed down Iron Crosses on the airstrip so I'm pretty sure that placed me somewhere around Germany..."
