I like how the story ended for Pain. He was only defeated because he agreed to follow Naruto's dream of peace. He could have retreated and rebuilt his army.

Orochimaru definitely wouldn’t beat Sasori. Deidara was on the way to kill Orochimaru for leaving Akatsuki when him and Tobi ran into Sasuke. And Deidara has admitted that Sasori is stronger than him.

Jiraiya with no knowledge almost destroyed pain. Meanwhile, Orochimaru, while almost dead, did better against a 4-tailed cloak Naruto than Jiraiya did against a weaker cloak version. Orochimaru is far more powerful than Jiraiya, and Jiraiya nearly beat pain with no knowledge. So, Orochimaru, at full power, absolutely beats pain. And it shouldn't be surprising. Pain has been nearly defeated by solo kage-level ninja despite being a unit of 6. He has never gone up against multiple kage-level ninja. Orochimaru can revive multiple hokages at once like it is nothing, survive any mortal wound, survive eternal sealing, and resurrect himself from literally any body in the world that has his curse mark. Orochimaru wins in theory at full power.

In the series Itachi is better than Orochimaru, but Itachi is scared of Jiraya who could not take on Orochimaru after teaming up with Tsunade. So technically Orochimaru is the strongest and weakest both 😂

Dont forget full arsenal Oro also has reanimation jutsu to summon the 1st n 2nd. So worst case he can fight pain 3v6 as well. Sasori showed inferior battle IQ when he said its over...Pain already knew the fight wasnt over.

Man, Pain was such a great character literally the Yang to Naruto's Yin. Even his Rinnegan dominion over nature chakra was a perfect contrast to Naruto's Tailed Beast chakra use.
