Great video as usual guys (comedy gold). The "dampness" issue here, is a strange one unless the ground level is higher than floor level in these areas, you shouldn't have dampness because the 2 main causes are rising damp (dampness coming up through from ground level but I don't know if they have damp proof courses in Spain) and then there's penetrating dampness which would pass through the wall from the outside normally caused by damage to the weatherproof render coat or potentially from leaking plumbing work or drainage. This leads me to think that it's possibly condensation which you normally get at low level but located behind furniture where there is limited air movement. I've been called to thousands of "dampness" complaints and 99% are condensation issues but folk don't like to accept that its condensation. I don't know if the room layouts have changed but its a possibility, especially in the wardrobe. The other thought I had was haphazard (messy) cleaning sloshing loads of water to clean the floors and skirtings which, through time, could accumulate although, in the hot Tenerife climate it would dry quickly. What worried me slightly was that the builder was coming in the apply the finished stippled layer but the walls still looked patchy as if not fully dried and I would have recommended that the first coat was given full drying time before applying the second coat because you might be introducing a problem, especially if the 2nd coat has a water proofer which might trap the moisture. Anywho, I thought I'd mention these things in case it helps. We were over last November and I though of popping in to say hello because Ive followed you since the start and watched you grow your channel and become quite the expert but then I thought....och, hes a busy man I might see you on the street some day. Take care guys and keep the videos coming.
