I love what you did with the jacket! I had the redhead and she was the last Barbie I got as a kid before I decided I was too old/cool for them. I painted the Metallica logo on the back of her jacket and became a flop metalhead from ages 11-13. 😂

I just bought her too a few days ago!Mine has the thickest hair i’ve ever seen on a Barbie doll. It’s wild!

Congratulations! Mine has thick hair but not the thickest in my collection. She really is a high quality doll. I have other 90s dolls I find prettier but for some reason this one seems to be of a higher quality. I really want the redhead!

@@DeanReen Well I think yours looks better than mine because the thick hair is impossible to style. I sadly don't have any paint left and her standard outfit is a bit plain for me.

Interesting how early 90's Barbie was still very much an 80's gal, with her poufy bangs, her gigantic earrings, bright pastel colours, her exaggerated 80's silhouettes and of course, all her 'bling!' It would have been so much fun for kids to get creative and bedazzle her clothes and jewelry! And WOW!!! You got Ollie to bedazzle her, too!!! :D Love those little rosettes and especially that 'GIRL POWER' on the back of her jacket!

Definitely, I feel the 80s lingered on for a very very long time. I almost feel like I was born in the 80s :P Raymond says it was the same for him too. I remember even the clone stuff was very 80s when I was younger. And of course I had hand-me-downs from the 80s too. Yes! He almost backed out! I am so glad he did it with me. It got more done in less time, AND we got that cool Girl Power jacket (which is my fave piece I must say!)

@@DeanReen growing up in the 80’s was the best. It didn’t matter what you where like you could get away with wearing anything and the brighter the colours the better and guys cold wear make up and now one World question you 🥰

@@PandoraBoxPanda I bet it was really fun. The early 00s seemed so backwards to me, everything was so bland and proper. At least that was how I felt. It is crazy to think that it could be like that after the 80s.

It was actually. It was much harder than we both expected. Omigosh, it would be a nightmare with children. I bet the dolls would have been covered in paint, not to mention the carpet!

I totally remember the "let's paint our clothes" look. Good thing Mattel never did a Bleach Blast Barbie, bleach was used back in the late eighties by poor kids with out sense like me to give jeans a stonewashed trashy look.

Hahaha, thank you. It was a bit corny eh? Barbie did do something like that. There were denim fashions that came with white chalk so you could fade them. There were also tie dye fashions.

@@DeanReen I said I was snarky. I crashed after typing that. Long day at work. I was the one being cornarky. See, I made a new word. Kinda derpy word but it's mine. Kids were tie dyeing Barbie clothes way before that came out so Mattel was a bit late on that fad. You did a nice review.

Thanks. She was a bit pricey. She was AUD $127.00 at the time. That is inclusive of postage from the US and taxes too.
