I'm reading Franz Kline: The Artist's Materials right now, and it's interesting to see how thinking has changed about some of the details of this presentation over time. Nothing huge, but Kline was painting Corinthian II before the fire that destroyed the original Corinthian. Stuff like that. I'm glad the conservators have gotten the time they need to delve deep into Kline's history and methods. His work seems like it's in good hands.
