I like the consistency of my paints to form the slightest mound when running off the stir stick into the cup of paint.

It’s like looking at the Milky Way open space. All those stars together. It’s amazing. That’s how I look at it

This one " looks like a beautiful snow ❄️ and clouds" my absolute favorite of all ever since I've started watching (Feb 21)I'm a new newborn newbie ok but I know what I like. I'm going to try and duplicate that. If I fail and that is a certainty 🤭 I'll try and probably fail again but I'll keep trying.✊🏿💪🏿🎭 😁

Beautiful work Brad 🎨 I particularly liked the bright sunny yellow that would liven up any room. And painting 5 with the lovely lacing of the gold. It looked like a leopard 🐆 print. I'm keeping a close eye on you 👁️ 😉 and learning as I go along. Thanks for the teaching 👍❤️

I'm so happy you like them Laurita! The Floating Cup is my favorite technique so it was fun to put this video together. I never really liked yellow before I started pouring with it. Now I love painting with it. That's probably why I have gold in almost every one of my paintings lol! Thanks so much for the wonderful comments!

@@AcrylicPouringAcademy Ugh..... I have a hard time with metallics. They sink to the bottom of you don't mix it right. I think I've wasted so much paint because of that hiccup. Too thin or too thick. It's a tricky balance.

@@blackcatblue Metallics can be tricky for sure! I've had them sink in some paintings and completely take over other ones. I've tried mixing them a little thicker and a little thinner. What I've found works best for me is to mix them as close to my other colors as possible. I seem to get more consistent results that way. I also write down the order in which I layer all my paints for all my paintings. I tend to use metallics closer to the bottom of the cup than the top. Having a journal helps tremendously when I go back to look at the paintings that worked and the ones that didn't.

Thank you Faithe. Tilting can be a tricky. Especially when you don't want to lose all the beautiful stuff that's happening. Have you tried spinning out your paintings? I find it can help keep a lot of the cool stuff with the minimal amount of cool stuff being lost. Happy pouring!

Thank you for posting. I enjoyed every single painting you did! The one with the blue and gold, with all the cells, you could almost have left the white as some negative space, I thought as I watched. But the end result was very cool! Do you sign your work?

Thank you very much Leilani. I'm so glad you liked them! The blue and gold one would have looked great with some white negative space. I was thinking about that as I was tilting. Yes I sign most of my work. I try to keep my signature discreet and make it blend in with the painting.

They're all so beautiful Brad❣. Sorry if you've been asked before, What pouring medium do you use? The cells stay together so well, mine fracture a bit. I use Australian Floetrol. 💜Wen xo

Thanks so much Wendy! I use US Floetrol as my main pouring medium. Sometimes I add a little Liquitex Pouring Medium to it as well. My formula is in the description of the videos. It sounds like your paint might be a bit to thin if the cells are breaking apart. I don't have a lot of experience with the Australian Floetrol so I can't say for sure. Thanks so much for watching.

I want to ask one think.. what is this white color u poured first.

The white is just white paint mixed up like all my other paints. I like to use a basecoat. It helps the paint slide over the canvas easier.

Hi Cathy, I did not use any silicone in these paintings only USA floetrol, paint, and a little water. My mixing formula and all the colors are in the video description. I hope you have a wonderful weekend too!
