I am enjoying making my own fabric for stitching. I have so far only used fabric paints, and my free motion goes smoothly. Do you think you can stitch well when you overpaint? I had a fabric turn out muddy and I wondered about overpainting it.

I want to do a hibiscus flower on a t-shirt is there any type of form that I would have to put on the T-shirt after I put the base on and does the base have to be dry before I do that

I not sure you want to use my process on something that will be washed

What are the names of these paints? Are they resistant to washing?

Jacquard textile paint. Not sure about washing. I would check with manufacture

Can you do the pour without a base paint on the fabric?

You probably can. I use a canvas on a frame as a base and the reuse the canvas.

Yes you would just need to use more paint in the pour

Is this washable? Is it stiff?

It can be sewn through. A little stiff. Not washable.

So if I use an acrylic pour paint it still wouldn't be washable

That I don’t know because I don’t use acrylic paint. If possible check with manufacturer
