ok, so like, how do you get your flats so smooth??? Everything looks so vivid and pretty and gouache is so hard to work with! Also I absolutely love the simple style, it looks so good.

Evalyne Raisor use paint and don’t dilute it (well, just a little so your lines are smooth and don’t have textured edges)

In my experience, cheap gouache is harder to work with and can produce a more rough texture especially when you paint multiple layers. I recommend more higher quality gouache for smoother finish and process.
