Wild dogs live in tight-knit families, where the workload is divided up co-operatively among family members. A punishing drought is ravishing the region - so the families must work more closely than usual. To make matters worse the wild dog family has lost their dominant female. But these crafty carnivores pull together to overcome the odds stacked against them.

African Wild Dogs mate for life, they will kill and die for their mate, let alone their pack. Amazing how these lethal creatures have feelings like humans.

They are one of the best species on the planet! But they are persecuted by humans and farmers actually hunt them down and shoot them, much like ranchers do to wolves. It doesn’t matter if they don’t go after their livestock. They don’t wait for that and kill as many as they can. They don’t care how endangered they are. It’s sickening. These amazing wild dogs feed and take care of the alpha female who has to stay behind and care for her pups, they do the same for any dog that is sick, old, or injured. Most humans don’t even do that for their own families!

Why didn't anyone stop the poachers??? They are illegal and should not be there taking lives!!!! All animals deserve to live their life and not end it by a poacher!!!! SOMEBODY BETTER STOP THAT POACHER FOR GOOD!!!!!!! THAT POOR MAMA SND AND BABIES. THE DADDY IS DOING HIS BEST. WHAT A AWESOME DAD!

thing is, they need resources for that. Keeping up anti-Poaching is not cheap. it is why Ani Poaching units need donations. I did recently donate to Anti-poaching as I adore painted dogs. usually, it is Farmers that shoot them in fear of them killing livestock which unfortunately did happen recently. One killed a farmer's calf. which is unusual behavior, and the experts are going to collar to find out why this is happening. But the Painted Wolf Conservation and others are working hard to have funds for anti-poaching ect. It is not easy. Also Poachers use snares that are for the Illegal Bushmeat trade. And are not meant for Painted dogs. but snares are in discriminant.

Hope that whoever put the radio collar will have a stricter monitoring and protection. These collars can be hacked by poachers and use to their advantage.

I enjoyed this beautiful i didn't know wild dogs are monogamous sad a human being destroy his partner human being are destructive and mireable thank you for the information i thought wild dogs only hunt one time and when full they go home and feed the family regurgitate four times if necessary to make sure they are full

I never knew that these african wild dogs ( painted wolves) are hunted by poachers. I wonder for what reason. Are Asians customers?

I think In china they already have enough dogs to consume… not trying to be racist saying all Chinese do it but fact is fact some do it. I think Korea and some south East Asian countries as well.
