A 24 hour Bolt Action Charity challenge, painting Warlord Games WW2 Polish miniatures, in support of Models for Heroes. I take on another painting challenge, with Grim Dice Gaming (they're painting Russians). Can I manage to finish a 1000 point army, to tabletop standard or better? Let's try!

Models for Hero’s... first I heard of this charity but I am totally on board... hah punny! This hobby and painting models has helped me so much through dark times and will always be a hobby I maintain. Also I am Polish and my grandfather was a machine gunner so this video rocks!

Haha, im just s glutton for punishment. I find them to be useful ways to get me painting my hoards of grey, as I never have the time to paint unless its for a video. 😀

Awesome, well done mate, I did miss a bit more shots of the 'finished' army though, would have like to see a bit more. And I was a bit worried about all the colours before the end, but the washes made them come really nice together, it looked great!

There is a still a bit more work to do, but not a lot of time needed. I'll finish them up this week I think, then they can move to the display cabinet in the new studio. 😀 ill be posting lots of pics in social media when they're done, so you'll be able to have a good look then.

Yeah, its a bit of a slog but it's certainly effective. I hate having to go back and do the boring parts.. so getting everything base coated together means I can do the rest in my own time. 😀

I have an bolt action army based on my Grandfathers experience in WW2 as well. It was in my pile of shame but I have brought it out of the pile and I started building it up tonight! Thanks for the inspiration!

Poles were my first BA army. I used the vallejo paint set and it was like painting by numbers but took ages! These look cool! Good work and a great charity.

Great job Olly. Your models look very good. I've never done any WW2 stuff in 28mm, though I do quite a lot of scale model aircraft in 1/72.

Nice work, I find my BA guys incredibly tedious going compared to big chunky Space Marines, but having picked up an airbrush in lockdown it might be time to try a similar project.

I do intend on doing one in two 12 slots so maybe watch along with you on two different events. As I said, please keep the great work up guys, it’s a massive help to people in this crappy time
