I remember as a kid looking thru Encyclopedias and dictionary's for hours and i would always look at the Presidents Portraits in the back of the books. I remember staring at this Paiting of JFK and feeling so SAD. this painting has so much emotion.

Very interesting pose he captured. A thoughtful and pensive moment almost as if it was during the Cuban missile crisis. His decisions were quick & decisive and he knew the consequences of failure.

Frankly, this is the only one American President's Portret I can consider as a masterpiece. Others are kinda instagram photos, some of them good, some of them not. But this one, man, this is great.

It's a fitting tribute to JFK. I personally love this portrait, and I can see why Jackie Kennedy liked it too.

Assassination portrait? News Week wouldn't know what a true work of art is, if it bite them in the ass. This portrait of JFK is a wonderful piece and really fits the man. The painter did a great job with this one. And as artist myself he has my regards.

Odd he would need to use Ted Kennedy posing like that as there are quite a few photos of President Kennedy in the exact same pose and many film clips as well.

This portrait is a TERRIBLE representation for an official White House portrait. Head deferentially bowed, hair too red, lousy looking cheap suit with bad coloring that Jack Kennedy NEVER wore, face too thin to be that of JFK, this portrait is Jackie's French impressionist fantasy of her husband, NOT the John F. Kennedy known by America and the world. For that, we need to look no further than the magnificent work done by 20-year-old Jamie Wyeth, which perfectly captures the pensive nature of our great 35th president, while suggesting the gravity and frequency of crises he face during his history-defining term of office.
