Painting a GIANT Bunny?!

Today I am going to tackle one of two of these MASSIVE paper mache bunnies that one of my viewers sent me. I opened these up in one of my more recent squishy unboxing videos and I was shocked by how enormous they were! I honestly wasn't sure if I was up for the challenge, but I DID IT. This makeover/art project took me 3 long days of clay sculpting, painting and MORE painting. I ended up turning this bunny into a new version of one of my original characters. I hope you guys enjoy this very unique customization project!

Hey! my name is Moriah (pronounced muh-rye-yuh) Elizabeth and this is my channel....obviously. I'm 29 and like doing creative activities (mostly painting on things), or really anything that gives me an excuse to use rainbows, sprinkles and my own cutesy characters in excess. I'm heavy into editing, so my video are chalk full of sound effects, filters and lil....moments, or as we like to call them "MEmes." I paint on squishies, thrift store finds, and various other items I find. I also love to draw, traditionally and digitally. I'm not the most skilled artist out here, but I like to focus on having fun with creativity and being able to laugh at my own mistakes.

I wish people would just let Moriah do the art she wants to do instead of pressuring her into doing these huge projects that stress her out. She already puts a TON of work into all her projects and spends lots of time editing her videos just for us. If we could just let her do the art she wants and appreciate the effort she puts into her art and videos for us, we would enjoy her art even more cuz we wouldn’t expect her to do as much of these stressful projects.

I cant do art to save my life, but I found your videos years ago and you are just so comforting. You’ll only find neutrals and darks in my closet but your rainbows upon rainbows always make me happy. This could be a stupid idea but... A while ago you unboxed a squishy or stress toy which looks like a roll of money. I watched that video while binging your videos and I thought of this idea: I was thinking you could decorate that squishy to make what the currency/money would look like on Nahfalagus (sorry if it spelt wrong!) I use light clay a lot to make my art sculptures, so if you’d like a few tips I can share what I do. I use sculpting tools to push and work the clay. You can even keep squishing and pressing on it when it’s half dry to get more details that way. It also helps smooth it out, using tools instead of your hands. The number one big thing for me about this kind of clay is that lots of actual sculpting comes AFTER it is dry. I use sand paper and my Dremel tool to carve and smooth, and then its good for painting too. Maybe this helps, but also feel free to disregard it too. I love your art so much! Thank you for creating and sharing with us

For the problem with the ears i think what i would’ve done was cut off both of the ears, patched the holes with tape (they wouldnt be very noticeable because they are in the back and behind the donut and crown) i would then sculpt some ears and put them on the side of the head (VERY similar to lemon’s ears, actually literally the same look) but i totally understand its alot of work and you probably didnt want to change it too much from the original. if i picture them with those ears (i believe they are called lop-eared bunnies) i’d say i love both of them equally 🐰 : ). I also think she would look SO cute as a squishy, Ugh i would love that 😫

I've watch Moriah since 2018, and she is the creator that has most grown and improved over time that I have ever seen! Back in 2020, I made a list of my seven favorite KZfaqrs and she was #3 on that list. But now, she is definitely, absolutely NUMBER ONE for me! Hey! I am a fellow ceramic artist. You can actually smooth out some lumps out in the clay with sandpaper after it’s dry if the lumps are bothering you. I hope that’s helpful. Keep up the good work with clay projects!

Hi Moriah! From someone who uses clay in their free time, you should sand your clay after it drys to make it more smooth! It works for me :)

You can't sand this type of clay,it dries soft and squishy and trying to sand it would just shred it.

@@MooMooMellow it would be safe there's no reason it wouldn't be, but if she's trying to sand it to make it more smooth that wouldn't work with this type of clay. Trying to sand this clay even with fine grit sandpaper would still results in more texture than before.

Guys moriah puts so much work in her vids so can yall just rest on the big projects? Now before anyone says anything I'm not saying that she should just stop listening to the comments section, askes . I'm saying that some times you guys ask for projects that are very overwhelming. And I'm not speaking on Moriahs behalf, but I think it's a little too much. So all I'm saying is just relax on the big art requests :) I also think we should just let Moriah come up with SOME of her own ideas that are pretty simple, for example, "The sprinkle globe".She came up with that on her own and it was so pretty so yeah :)

I don't know if I'm the only one who noticed but during the video there are moments that Moriah's spark of creativity kinda fades in her eyes like as she tries to work with the sculpture she realizes that it isn't really her cup of tea but she's trying to make it work out. SO PLEASE LET US NOT DEMAND TOO MUCH FROM HER. We shouldn't force her to make huge and stressful projects, instead we should inspire and motivate her to do the ART SHE LOVES. Remember art is meant to be enjoyed not forced.

As a cosplayer I sculpt rough shapes with foam clay and then carve out what I want and detail it that way! It makes it so much easier to get what you want!!
