Awesome, James! This just proves that there is always beauty and something to paint virtually anywhere. We artists tend to be too picky.

I love when an artist champions the unloved and easily overlooked beauty in our everyday world. Your work and your philosophy is always an inspiration....thank you!

I think more than beauty for me the painting highlights the impact of globalisation and the carelessness of man. It’s more poignant than beautiful, but masterfully painted as always. Thanks James! I have been wanting to tackle subjects like this.

You're so adept at bringing our attention to the discards and detritus that surround us, and imbuing them with love. It's almost like a mission. :)

That is just what I paint all the time!!! I love painting trash as a subject matter. Crushed coffee cups, crumpled garbage from big box retailers, it’s all fair game.

I love these kind of non traditional subjects! One day last year I did a sketch of the cluster of cords on my living room floor.

Well said. Litter is sign of indifference to nature. Like the parking lot, which is worse in that it was built and planned.

Wonder, James. The depth captured looking down at weeds; textures, color, value relationships- and a social statement; beautifully painted. Nice!

The weed will become victorious by making everyone love it and to want to grow lots of it all around the world so it's everywhere. If only a weed could figure out how to make people love it... 🤔

@@RobertF- Slowing down and taking a closer look is all that’s required. A quick search for microscopy opens up a new and engaging perspective on everything. Beauty and wonder abounds in all of creation.

There's one guy at this supermarket on cart return duty who is an artist. He always stops by to see what I'm up to but he was off that day, so no one stopped.

Painting can make anything beautiful, but shame on the people that toss trash everywhere, unconscious like animals. I bet some animals are more conscious than them...
