Painting a Red and White Knight for a Patron! Bretonnian Questing Knight Week Day 2!

It's day 2 of Questing Knight week and I decided to thank of my long time top Patrons by painting this Knight in his family crest colours! I'd had a lot of requests for a red and white scheme during Grail Knight week but I think it suits this guy a lot more. I don't know how I'd feel about riding into battle next to a guy who prioritises bringing his writing desk along but hey, who am I to judge!

I won't be painting these to play with against anyone but my kids in kitchen top battles - but I am happy to paint them like this to a good standard and then put them in a glass box forever because they are the prettiest sculpts of all of the Brett knights. Lovely job as always Andy!!

Amazing as always! This is something I did for my wife's old Bret army in the 90s/00s - a lot of the Knights had the personal heraldry of our SCA family and friends. Adds a great personal touch. ~ Scorpion.Ink.HP

The knight you are mentioning with the book is called the "book knight" or "scribe knight" from all the sources I have read. His sword is going through a book. The book settles on his cross guard. I have two or three of them! They do exist haha Love the schemes and as always, love the Bretonnian content!

Well Questing Knights are better in The Old World then in 8th Edition but have several draw backs. As you mentiond they only have a 4+A armour save in close combat In addition they are Elite and that means they are competing with the way better Pegasus Knights. And lastly the job they are supposed to be doing can be better done by Grail Knights. At least due to the iniative bonus for charging, they are not completly useless any more.

Love these videos, this is helping motivate me to finish my knight assemblies done. My full 3k List contains 69 (nice) Knights. My FLGS also hosted a painting competition we had 16 people come and paint a KOTR and the winner is going to win a Bretonnian Box!

@@MediocreHobbies 5th place. I voted for the winner. They hand painted pink roses on the shield and 4 crests along the barding. It's one of the best IRL models I've ever seen
