Yeah, he kind of did, but don't be too upset. There wasn't a lot of value in it anyway. Those things were the Crosley Cruisers of their day - inexpensive, disposable, not really all that great. Cheap, low-grade parts slapped together to meet a price point and sold under a variety of names - Symphonic, Lloyds, Radio Shack, Lafayette, Vanity Fair, even Sears, JC Penney, and Montgomery Ward had versions of it, and it invariably sat at the 'low end' of their catalog offerings. That $25 original price tag was a damned joke; even at half price the guy got sort of ripped off. Crosleys might actually have a leg up on them; the Crosleys are actually stereo and their tone arms don't weigh nearly as much. And you can actually connect a Crosley to a real amp and speakers and they'll sound halfway decent.
