PS Assassin's Apprentice (the first book in the farseer trilogy) is the best fantasy series i've read in a looooong time. Female author is always a plus as well

A bit late perhaps, but your painting reminded me of those of Anton Pieck; a 20th century artist who painted both industrial and fairy tale scenes. In the Netherlands there is a theme park based entirely of its style and drawings (De Efteling) and is very popular!

I love that you are reading this series and sharing your inspiration but I had to mute the video because I am about to start reading it and didn't want any spoilers! Personally my favorite part of the video was when you talked more about the painting technique and choices and process rather than the books and stories. But you do whatever makes you happy! I'm just giving my two cents :)

Lovely work! reminds me of a book I used to read as a child featuring paintings by the Swedish artist John Bauer, I like how everything but especially the swans looks so alive, you’ve really managed to capture their beauty:)

Oh thankyou so much! :) Yes I love John Bauer’s art - I was actually quite inspired by his tall trees for this painting🤩

I adore the atmosphere you've created in this painting. I'm currently reading 'Daughter of the Forest' and love it so far. My favourite book by Juliet Marillier is 'Wildwood Dancing'. For another fantastical and atmospheric novel set in a forest, I recommend 'In the Forest of Serre' by Patricia A. McKillip (World Fantasy Award Winner). I also recommend 'The Snow Child' by Eowyn Ivey for a winter forest read. :) xo

How's your experience with masking fluid? Does it let you paint without issues on those areas after removing it?
@laveragrace
@laveragrace 7 ай бұрын
I never have many issue with it, as long as I peel off every part of it (it can be easy to miss some)😊but I’ve never really used it over heavily painted areas, so not sure how that would go🤷‍♀️
