The learning continues! Airbrush Painting this Rc Car Body shell. This simple design is painted using an Iwata Airbrush and Vellejo paints and Bitty Design markers and blades. Im learning RC painting and improving each time! feel free to add any tips and tricks in the comments!

That paint doesn't say it's meant for polycarbonate. It might be okay for a race buggy but I imagine it would flake off on a crawler body unfortunately. We don't do the shoe goo thing for crawler bodies, we want them lightweight. Proline makes paint specifically for polycarbonate, spaz stick also, I think a few more.

Nice vids thanks. I’m gonna use spray cans for my first ever Schumacher paint job. Does the same rule apply to spray white behind fluro to make it pop? I didn’t know that. Thanks

Can acrylic paint work on polycarbonate? won't it peel off?

Holds up well! For sure. I'd use the recommended body paint for polycarbonate though.

Looks like you sprayed the liquid mask, what compressor/gun did you use for that?

Hey! For this one I used my standard compressor from Amazon ( video on channel ) and a cheap gun with a 1mm nozzle, currently working on a video with all the details :) thanks for watching!

Iv just come across your channel and just got back into RC racing I build scale movie rep trek models and use an airbrush but mate Iv just basically had a Brain 🧠 fart when you started removing from the inside 😂 What did you use inside first before drawing the design on the outside?

you paint it befor cutting? whats the reason? not that im judgeing just want to learn

I find if you can do this , less paint is chipped when cutting and I see no reason not t!

How well does the acrylic paint last on the 🤔 I’m assuming lexan body shell but it might not be 😂 Great tips though 👍

It lasts OK to be honest! You can also laquar the inside for extra longevity , or if it's an 1/8 shell or larger you can use fibreglass tape or aluminum tape in areas that need it! Or shoe goo.
