Of course I'd need to make things difficult for myself by deciding to go for white and blue! Still, the method is just as easily swapped out for any colour; useful if you're planning on creating a unit of individuals, or a knightly force in uniform.

THE BASE:
Stirland Mud texture paint applied in a thick layer, drybrushed with Golgfag Brown and Tyrant Skull once done. Apply thinned PVA and static grass in patches, then a tuft or two for volume and variety on the base. Paint the rim in Mournfang Brown and done!
