We bought a 1978 SeaCamper and in this episode we are painting non-skid paint on the deck.
We decided to go with white for the non-skid paint color because we couldn’t find another color that paired well with the rest of our exterior paint. This was a simple job but ended up taking quite a bit of time with prep work.

I was originally going to get a 70s lil hobo house boat to do the great loop until I seen this. Fully invested in watching this series. Awesome attention to detail.

Hey! That non-skid looks good. Not too coarse looking. I applied another brand of non-skid on the back deck of my boat, but it is about as coarse as 36 or 24 grit sandpaper (ouch!) and I will be removing it at some point. How does Total Tread feel to the bottom of feet and on your knees?

We are really happy with this non-skid. Total Tread is noticeable under the feet and knees but not too course or uncomfortable for it to be painful. The beads in this nonskid paint are fine, which is why we decided to do 3 coats. Each coat came out even better than the last, and the coverage was very even (we made sure to mix the paint really well)
