Now dry brush white paint on the raised protruding rock faces very lightly and watch as the face of your hills stand out in the light as well as creating greater depth perception. Trust me on this.

Already been done, and dirt added, and grass and all the fun stuff :) But yes that helps!

That looks like an XPS Foam base, but what did you use for the over the base?

I used celluclay (paper mache) and plaster of paris to shape the final structure, then painted everything with tan indoor latex paint before I started the wash.
